Namaste dear pandajis

I'm a Lakshmi bhakta and ordered a 7mukhi japa mala from Rudra Center. I

chant the Lakshmi mantra daily (until now on a Tulsi mala) but also Hanuman

mantra and Ganesh mantra. Can I chant the Hanuman and Ganesh mantra also

on the 7mukhi mala or only the Lakshmi mantra?

Thank you for you kind help.

Warm regards

Thomas

MahaDev ! Dear Thomasji

Namaskar Mitra and thank you for your message.....is probably best to chant

for Goddess MahaLakshmi only on a totally 7 Mukhi Goddess MahaLakshmi

Mala.......the Eight Mukhi Lord Ganesha Rudraksa Bead is for Puja to Lord

Ganesha and

the 11 Mukhi Lord Hanuman Rudraksa Bead is for chanting to Lord Hanuman......In

addition Red Coral Mala can be used to chant to Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman

and also the Punch Mukhi and Red Coral Mala can be used......The Sphatik

Crystal Mala is also for chanting to the Devis so this is a good Mala for

chanting

to Goddess MahaLakshmi.....Sphatik Crystal is an animated crystal and the

Sphatik Crystal Sri Yantra is sometimes carved from this stone.....the Sphatik

Crystal Sri Yantra is the Divine Abode of MahaTripurSundari and all the Gods and

Goddesses reside in this Holy Item

Hope this helps My Friend

Wishing you and Family the Best of Health Happiness Success and Prosperity

Thanks and Take Care

Dear Thomasji

Thanks for reply My Friend......actually you can chant for Lord Ganesha on

one 8 Mukhi Rudraksa Bead and the same for Lord Hanuman on the 11 Mukhi Lord

Hanuman Bead......From what I have read the Tulsi Mala if for worshippiing Lord

Visnu Lord Rama and Lord Krishna....yes you can mix the oils and to clean the

rudraska beads you can soak in warm water for 5 minutes if you like and then

brush with soft plastic tooth brush.....then rinse in clean water and let sit on

clean towel to dry.....can dry in sunshine if you like.....then brush on

mustard oil from India Grocery Store or the mixture of oil you mentioned with

same

dry soft tooth brush and all is good........you can clean like this whenever

you like however each 3 months is a good time for this process

Hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care My Friend

Thank you very much for your answer. I will not be able to afford a 8mukhi

or 11mukhi mala at this time so I think I will chant the Mahalakshmi mantra

on the 7mukhi and the Hanuman and Ganesh mantras on my Tulsi mala.

Another question I have is:

How exactly and how often do I clean and oil the rudraksh beads? (I have

a neck mala with 2 to 13mukhi beads, a 1mukhi bead on the altar and, as said,

will receive this 108+1 7mukhi mala). Soak them in soap water for how long?

How to oil them? Soak them in oil or just rub the oil on them? (you see,

I'm completely unexperienced...) Can I use almond oil mixed with sandalwood

oil?

A lot of questions waiting for a kind and wise soul to free them...

Warm regards

Thomas

Dear Darmadevji

Thank you very much for your helpful cleaning manual, now I will be able

to take care of my beads properly.

Regarding chanting the Ganesh mantra on one 8mukhi bead and the Hanuman mantra

on one 11mukhi bead - and you see again, I'm quite unexperienced: how can

I chant/count on one bead? Or do I just hold the bead in my hand and count

with something else? Or maybe I've just misunderstood you completely :-)

Thank you for your patient clarification for the "new kid on the block".

Warm regards

Thomas

Dear Thomasji

Thanks My Friend.....although there is traditional methods to count mantras

on fingers of hand if you dont have Mala...... you can also do modified

versions according to your need....for example if you turn your hand over so

palm is

up you will notice 3 sections to each finger and 2 sections to

thumb........this is 14 sections total and if you chant twice this way it is a

quarter

Mala........if you chant with Lord Ganesha bead in palm of right hand and use

thumb

and index finger of right hand......... to move from first section on little

finger left hand........ to last section of thumb on left hand then you will

have a method to do chanting.....again if you do this two times you will have

chanted a quarter mala....then to do 8 times for full mala you can have 8 other

Rudraksa Beads or Gem Beads to move from one place to another to show how many

times you count your quarter Mala

More than once it is mentioned in Siva Purana and SriMadDeviBhagavat the

words.......holding a Rudraksha

and then once in one of these Books mentioning..... chant the appropriate

Mantra for Devata of the appropriate Rudraksha Bead

Hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care Mitra

Dear Darmadevji

Thank you very much for your elaborate answer. It is very clear now and I

also understood the basic principle, namely not to chant other mantras on

a specific Rudraksh.

Warm regards from very cold Switzerland
