Guest guest
I have, and personally, I prefer the olive oil as the mustard oil has a fragrance that does not leave the beads, and I found the beads absorbed enoungh, and even after washing, while wearing it, they expelled oil, and the fragrance of mustard oil stayed on the skin surface, which I did not care for. Guest guest
Namaste Kriyaban, Just my two cents' worth: Using of various types of oil depends largely on personal experimentation and preference. Like Ladaji mentioned, some people may not want to use mustard oil as they don't like the 'fragrance' of this particular oil. Some with sensitive skin may find that mustard oil irritates the skin. In other cases it causes inflammations or rashes. I cannot speak for others but only from my own experimentations. In my case, I have an aversion to mustard oil due to planetary reasons. My beads are oiled with sandalwood essential oil mixed with a little almond oil. This darkens the beads too. Beads also become darker in color, with the passage of time as we use them continuously and oil + maintain them regularly. It does not matter which oil you choose to use as the 'darkening effect' comes hand-in-hand with time as the beads age.
