Guest guest
Exactly! The conventional healing arts (physicians will often agree that medicine is an art NOT a science), are all about energy tranmission, conduction, and reception. This is particularly true of neurology. Neurologically, one witnesses what I call "little miracles" every day. How did a moribund patient heal himself? Why did amother suddenly die for no apparent reason? How did a brain damaged patient regain neurological function, when the neurons for that function have been destroyed? One common experience re: the apparent transmission and reception of a subtle energy is when one becomes preoccupied with thoughts of a long separated friend, and then the phone rings. Here's a fairly dramatic "little miracle." I was once driving from L.A. to Bakersfield (where my office was, at the time) on the I-5. I suddenly became intensely preoccupied with thoughts of a friend, whom I hadn't seen in several years. The entire relationship opened before me, and I understood that though we had drifted apart, the friendship was whole, healthy, loving, and very strongly present. I knew that everything had been said and understood, between us, and nothing need ever be regretted. I experienced a profound sense of peace, love and finality. When I arrived at my office, I was advised that my friend had just been killed in a light plane accident. Some subtle, but intense energy of some kind had been transmitted and recieved, on a boring drive on the I-5. In summary, I agree that bad research and new-agey "energetics jargon" may not be helpful. But, there's also far too much about subtle energies that we don't know. As in electronics, medical experiments must be conducted according to strict methodologies, and then published in professional journals for referreeing, in order to be considered valid. However, the main pharmaceutical reference book that we use often cites within drug descriptions, "The specific mechanism of this drug is not completely understood." Or, in other words, "We think we know how this drug affects human energies, but despite all our experimentation, we haven't a clue as to why." Or, as Hamlet said, "There are more things n heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Guest guest
Thank you. It was a long time ago, though. The episode benefitted me, very greatly, in two ways: 1) The plane and the remains were not found for a few days. Others kept vacillating between hope that there were survivors and despair. Since I knew, from that strange "flash," that my friend was dead, I did not suffer that nightmarish emotional roller coaster. I had closure. 2) Since the "communication" made me aware that there was nothing to regret, my grief healed more quickly than that of the other mourners. It was a "clean cut."
