Guest guest
I forgot to ask are the sphatik beads (both regular and diamond cut) unheated and untreated or is there even such a thing? Thanks again! Suraj
Guest guest
Dear Suraj-ji: To my knowledge, I do not believe that the sphatik goes through any sour of processing with heat. It is, as Dharma Devaji mentioned, simply cut and polished. Guest guest
Thank you for the response Smt. Kanti. Is there any "advantage" to choosing the diamond cut beads (i presume this process exposes facets of the crystal?) over regular round ones just polished? TIA Suraj
Guest guest
Hi Suraj: I really think it is a matter of personal taste and experimentation. The faceting is man made in beads as all beads are cut and polished to be uniform in shape and size. Because the beads are used in japa..it will be matter as to what feels best in a person's hand. I have really found no difference. Many people wear sphatik because of its cooling effects and both the diamond shape and smooth work nicely. In the matter of quartz crystal pieces, there is debate as to which is more powerful natural faceted stones or refaceted polished.. again I feel it is a matter of taste and the consciousness and skill of person doing the polishing. Sphatik is very precious as it is considered a living entitiy where Shiva and Shakti dwell. Take care, Kanti --- In , "surajraghavan2002" <suraj_raghavan@h...> wrote: > Thank you for the response Smt. Kanti.
