Guest guest
Dear Mr., Rao, My name is Purushotham.I am from Mysore in karnataka state, India.I would be very happy if someone can let me know where I can procure a rudraksha sapling in India so that I can grow and distribute it all over south India. However the second plant which you have mentioned namely "shivalinga" is very much available in abundance in Mysore and Bangalore. Here it is known by the name of "NagaLingaPushpa"(naga=serpent, shivaLinga,Pushpa=flower).Indeed as you have mentioned the flower has a shivalinga(yellow+pink colour) in the middle and a single thick petal(pink colour) above the linga. The beauty of the flower is that the petal has the shape of a open hood of a cobra snake. The scent of the flower is mesmerising and the beauty captivating. The flowers grow on the trunk portion (thick stem)of the tree. The tree itself would grow to almost 30 to 40 feet high.No doubt that this is one of the most sacred flowers for worshipping shankara. If you wish to send any mails to me further you can send on this ID Srikantaiah.K.Puroshotham Sri Shankara Smaranam Puru --- basaveswara rao <basaveswar_rao wrote: > > Hi, > > I am from India(Chennai City).I came to know that > there is one Rudraksha plant in > Thiruvallur(Tamilanadu). It is in the premises of > shivalayam(Temple of Lord shiva).I am not having the > exact addressof the temple. If anybody is here in > this group from Tamilanadu, please help me in getting > one plant of Rudraksha to be planted in the pemises > of Shivalaya which is in my native.I am basically > from Andhrapradesh. There is one temple in > Pedalanka(Guntur district) named as "Pridhveeshara > Swamy Temple".It is the only temple which is having > all the plants whose are termed as "plants liked by > lord shiva" like > "Medi","Ravi","Vepa","Jammi","Neredu","Maredu","Patali" > etc.I do not know the scientifc names of the above > mentioned trees.I have given those names in Telugu > language. It is the second temple in AP having "most > of the trees liked by lord shiva' the first one > being Srisailam temple. The tourism board of AP has > also regognised this.Only 2 plants it is not having > are "shivalinga" and "Rudraksha".If anybody is here > in this group from India, please help me in finding > out those 2 plants."shivalinga" tree gives flowers > whose resemble like Shivalingam.I'll travel to any > place in india for getting those plants. > > Thanks > > Basaveswara Rao,Chennai > > > > > > Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, > and more > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, and more http://tax.
