Japa Yajna

 

The Fourth 24 Hour Non-Stop Global International Japa Yajna will be

conducted from 0000 through 2400 on April 11th, 2003 per USA/EST/DST.

As an Yajna, we offer a 24 hour continuous repetition of the 'Sacred

Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra' (Liberating Mantra). This Japa Yajna will be

offered towards 'World Peace and the Spiritual Upliftment of all

Mankind'. Names of all participants provided to us will be offered at

the Holy Vishvanath temple in Rishikesh.

 

Please volunteer for participating in the Japa Yajna for this holy

cause. This IS SELFLESS SERVICE of a very high order. We also need

volunteers for coordinating the Japa at your local temple/place of

choice.

We worship the Three-Eyed One (Lord Shiva), who is fragrant and

nourishes well all beings. May He liberate us from death for the sake

of immortality, even as the cucumber is severed from it's bondage (to

the creeper).

 

The Maha-Mrityunjaya Mantra is a life-giving Mantra. It wards of

death and accidents of all descriptions. Besides, it has a great

curative power. It is a Moksha mantra also. It is Lord Shiva's

Mantra. It bestows long life, peace, wealth, prosperity, satisfaction

and immortality.

 

What:

Gurudev Swami Sivananda has repeatedly said that there is great power

in the repetition of the Sacred Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, the Mantra

of Liberation. This effort can be coordinated globally to allow a 24

hour non-stop repetition of the Sacred Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra in

different time zones coordinated to US Eastern Time Zone.

 

Why:

Each day the news tells us of the suffering and troubles in the world

today. In these moments of changing challenges, it is very beneficial

to take the time to focus on prayers for World Peace and the

Spiritual Upliftment of all mankind. Our journey here is a passing

phase and any concerted effort to bring harmony and peace will indeed

be for the collective good. It does not matter what your personal

faith may be as all prayers rooted in 'Unflinching Faith' will end at

the Feet of the Almighty.

 

When:

This Japa Yajna will commence at 0000 hours USA Eastern Standard Time

(Daylight Savings Time) on Friday, April 11th, 2003 and go on non-

stop through a full 24 hours ending at 2400 hours the same day. This

event has been coordinated in USA Eastern Standard Time. Please note

that Daylight Savings Time goes into effect on April 6th, 2003 and

this will cause time to be moved forward ONE HOUR from the previously

coordinated time.

 

How:

We are globally in many time zones, we request all devotees and

seekers of the truth kindly allocate 30 minutes or more that they

will fully dedicate in undisturbed repetition of the Sacred Maha

Mrityunjaya Mantra. This can be done silently, aloud, with Japa Mala

or without. What is important that you be completely undisturbed and

completely immersed in the repetition of the Sacred Maha Mrityunjaya

Mantra for the period you are able to dedicate and ensure that this

resolve is steadfast.

 

Coordination:

It is critical to have this Japa Yajna as a continuous and unbroken

effort for a full 24 hour period. Towards this end, we seek

coordinators from the different time zones and centres that can

accept the efforts of others as coordination to ensure that a

convenient block of time is kept unbroken and that each block of time

in turn is inextricably linked harmoniously to form a seamless

offering of 24 hours of complete immersion in this Sacred Maha

Mrityunjaya Mantra as a offering to all Seers, Sages and Saints - we

are eternally grateful for the blessing that has and continues to be

bestowed on all of mankind at large. As soon as we receive time-block

acceptance, we will post the information on this site for your

information. A report including photographs if provided to us will be

posted at the Divine Life Society Of Maryland site.
