Guest guest
Dear Sri. Visnu: Until recently there was a free PDF booklet on Sri Chakra puja available from www.srividya.org. I looked for it on their website today briefly but could not find it however you could send them an email. They do have a book on the subject. They are a living South Indian Sakta tradition and have a temple (i believe it is the only kind in the form of a meru) and many peethams around the world. If you live in India you could visit any of the Sakti peethams (see www.templenet.com for a list) or possibly even a saivite temple and ask for instruction. It is my humble opinion that you might be better off asking a practitioner for instruction if you want to perform the entire Sri Vidya upasana. This is a tantra sadhana and while in theory most of the ritual is doable the panchadasi mantra (15 syllable) and the shodakshari (16 syllables) of the Devi can and should only be gotten from a competent teacher through initiation. Every reference i have found on this subject always says this. There are many forms of Sri Chakra puja and apparently some of them are shall we say "sensational". For the record, I'm not a traditional Sri Vidya upasaka. I do have a Sri yantra at home but i see in it the One as i see in everything. Like another group member said, it is my belief that sincerity and devotion are more important than any amount of ritual.
