Guest guest
Srimaddevibhagavat 11th Skand Chapter III verse 33 One who washes the feet of Rudraksa wearer and drinks that water is never affected by any sins and goes to Sivaloka This seems to me to be a fairly revolting and unhealthy practice and is one am definitely never doing and yet it shows up in the Holy Book for some reason ****************************************************************************** **************************************************** Actually, this is worth pondering... (now hear me out on this) :-) I had been taught by two different lineages that the feet of holy beings, siddhas, realized masters, etc emanate a tremendous amount of Shakti. If I am not mistaken, I belive Rudra Center India sells Guru Padukas, which represent the shoes of one's Guru. So what this scripture excerpt says to me is quite extraordinary. It says to me that one who wears rudraksha has that same intense energy flow coming from the feet ! That is truly amazing! When exactly that happens is any one's guess and no thank you am not interested in getting dirty tennis shoes from any one here to drink from :-0 The Eternal Wisdom that is the basis of the Vedas is just that..eternal. It does not change from one yuga to a next. Interpretation of this wisdom does change. One can read 3 different commentaries of a scripture and get 3 slightly different versions. The Wisdom is there in the writings and if pondered, relevence to present age or one's personal situation will reveal itself. OM Namah Shivaya Kanti
