Guest guest
Dear Davidji Thanks for clarification Yes is understood that misuse of anything can cause harm I better understand what you are saying and I recognize the quotes from the references in your message. Have also found other references of the same rather intense nature in other Holy Books. From my experience only it seems that some of these verses are specifically formatted in the language of another time and placed in the Holy Books with intent to ensure proper discipline is followed and that is as far as this goes Parts of what was written in ancient times and formatted in the language of that time simply dont apply to this age we live in and it seems to be up to each of us to find what is best for us as individuals in todays world Srimaddevibhagavat 11th Skand Chapter III verse 33 One who washes the feet of Rudraksa wearer and drinks that water is never affected by any sins and goes to Sivaloka This seems to me to be a fairly revolting and unhealthy practice and is one am definitely never doing and yet it shows up in the Holy Book for some reason Srimaddevibhagavat 11th Skand Chapter III Verse 35 and 36 Mahamate, thus if a man who wears Rudraksa with or without Mantras, with shame or otherwise gets rid of all sins and attains perfect knowledge Padma Purana Chapter 57 The Lord Spoke verse 34 Even if a man who does not engage himself in meditation holds a Rudraksa ( on his body ) he becomes free from all sins and obtains the highest position Siva Purana Vidyesvara Samhita Translated by Shastri 1973 Siva Said verse 54 Hence Mahadevi the Rudraksa as well as the person who wears is my favourite. O Parvatti even if he has committed sins he becomes pure In the Srimaddevibhagavat there is a group of verses that are really neat and add a lot to what we are talking about Chapter VI God said verses 19 to 26 On wearing Rudraksa in neck even without devotion a sinister gets rid of all his bondages Even without wearing Rudraksa if one has devotion for it he is worshipped like Siva in this world Similar to that of an ass of Magadha unknowledgeable and knowledgeable both can attain SivaLoka ( abode of Siva ) on wearing Rudraksa Skanda inquired from God as to how that donkey worn Rudraksa and who made him available ? God replied: O my son listen! In ancient time a donkey died at Vindhya while carrying the load of Rudraksas. O Mahasena, by my blessings he came near to me and lived in SivaLoka for so many years as many mukhis of Rudraksas it was carrying Thanks and Take Care My Friend DharmaDev zarembadavid <rudra <rudra <> Wednesday, January 15, 2003 5:08 AM Re: Regarding the effect of mukhis : DharmaDev , It is anly my common sense about some things *Regarding herbs and water - belive me they both can do harm if wrongly use and there are rules for taking them in ayurveda etc. *Regarding proof ,it will be difficult to present from both sides *I am not attempting to make you believe anything , I am just presenting a different point of view, and want just to create a better understanding But there are some intresting verses about rudraksha : " a man who wears Rudraksha without mantra attains formidable hell till the time span of 14 Indras " - Nirnayasindhu "a properly worn rosary renders all siddhis and the same without proper ritual causes harm" - Mahakala Samhita --- ------------ , "ShiningLotus" <shininglotus@c...> wrote: > Dear Davidji > > Thank you for letting us know that you sometimes miss the common sense in this group however I dont exactly understand most of your comments so maybe you could help me out with some kind of clarification of your generalized statements because they are not makeing sense to me > > In reality there are specific substances in the world that are used as medicine and they are never poison to a physical body. > > In reality many of these natural substances are found as Herbs in Ayurvedic Medicine.
