Namaste Friends,

Heard of this Traditional Yantra Puja somewhere and it just came to

mind:

Yantra Puja is quite (or rather) elaborate ritual and may continue

for 5 hours, depending on how you want to do it.

Place all your Yantras in groups. Each set of Yantras has a kalash

(brass or copper pot filled with sacred water) with a coconut and

different fruits, grains and betel leaves in front of it.

Yantras are then anointed with sandalwood paste, vermilion and milk

mixed with floral-scented oil. A white flower is placed on each

Yantra.

Ritual begins with 'Abhishek' (ceremonial bath) and worshipping Lord

Ganesh. Upon completion of Ganesh puja, each God and Goddess of the

respective Yantra is worshipped. Do this with recitation of a Mantra

for each individual Yantra. Example: for Shri Yantra, recite Shri

Mantra. For Gayatri Yantra, recite Gayatri Mantra.

Then make preparations for Yagna (sacred fire ritual). This is the

concluding part of Yantra puja. May take over an hour. Sandalwood,

fragrant herbs and pure ghee can be used as offerings to 'Agni'

(sacred fire), with recitation of Mantras.

Thus Yantras are then energised/empowered with vibrations of the

recited Mantras.

(That's all I can remember from watching one such ceremony in

Calcutta when I was 18; can't remember any more details.....)

Om Namah Shivaya,

Sy
