Guest guest
Dear Miss Kanti Namaskar My Friend Thanks for your questions When a person has the opportunity to put the two types of Beads together in one place the differences are really noticeable. There are few Indonesian Beads circulateing in North America at this time so is kind of difficult to show differences The Indonesian Beads seem to be a lighter in weight and smaller in size kind of Bead for each of the diffrent Mukhis. They normally dont have the thicker exterior protrusions and the large symbols on the exterior of the beads like the Nepal Beads have >From what I have seen on the Indonesian Beads the exterior protrusions that make up the ridges that line each of the mukhis seem to be thinner and the Indonesian Beads do not have the bulk and size of the Nepal Beads. Both Indonesian and Nepal Beads have been collected for thousands of years Both Nepal and Indonesian Beads are used to make the One Mukhi Round Beads by takeing a 3 Mukhi Bead and filling in two of the lines. A good test is to float bead in water that is not quite boiling and the glue and material in the lines float away from the Beads. Have found three different prices for these in the market from about US $270 to $500 to $1000 depending on what website these are on. If I remember correctly Astroshasta.com is the $270 and then AstrologyMantra.com is the $1000 The Himalayan Beads simply seem to be larger and heavier and more powerful due to the environment they grow in Is a certainty that environment and specifially the location of the Rudraksa Trees plays a key role in their growth If I remember correctly there is mention in the Siva Purana that the farvourites of Lord Siva grow in Gauda Land and that is the area of the Gangetic Plain on the northern border area of India to the foothills and middle area of Nepal that is north of Bengal. Have also heard there is a large Two Mukhi Bead that comes from Assam Thanks and Take Care My Friend DharmaDev thunderheals <thunderheals <> Wednesday, December 04, 2002 1:06 PM Re: RUDRASHA BEADS COLLECTION Namaste: I have a question... what is the difference between Indonesian Beads of 1 Mukhi to 21 Mukhi to Nepal Beads of 1 Mukhi to 21 Mukhi ? Do the qualities and properties of individual mukhis change? What are the differences in appearances? Many thanks for this as I am not that familiar with the Indonesian beads.
