Guest guest
Namaste, Kirkji. Very interesting post of reflections on Maharishi and TM. I noticed in an earlier post that you had attended MIU. I was initiated in TM back in 1972 but soon moved on to Ramakrishna and Kashmir Shaivism (or I should say Ramakrishna through the lens of Kashmir Shaivism). Was not associated with the movement apart from that first contact, but I happen to be living just 20 miles from Fairfield, Iowa, and have kept a sympathetic eye on the MIU community for many years. While I appreciate the MIU community as a rich resource out here in the prairie, my observations do rather agree with yours - its sad to see the wagons circled around this little "enlightenment club" while the whole world falls apart before our very eyes. We do, however, have good awareness and availability of Rudraksha here. Kinda pricey, though - like everything else associated with the Maharishi's people. Your website was mentioned in a post I've been unable to locate the URL. Would you be so kind as to give it, so I can visit? Many thanks. Pranaams, Shivaram ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ?A sadhu taught, ?God is in all things. Reverence all as God.? One day a disciple went out and met a mad elephant on the road. The driver on top shouted, 'Move away!' The man did not do it, instead offering reverences to the elephant as God. The elephant took him up with his trunk and dashed him aside. The man was severely hurt. His guru told him: 'God was also in the form of the driver. Why did you not listen to the God on top?'" -Sri Ramakrishna ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Namaste To own a lingam and to pour water over it while chanting the names of Mahadeva - to touch rudrakshas - these are among the things that bring forth the Truth, liberate the jiva.
