G'day Kari (pronounced 'gerd-day' very quickly - Ozzie greeting),

 

Now my saliva is dripping hearing about your respective paradises in

CA. Near Mexican border would suit me down to the ground but then

tasty tap water, no crime, peace and quiet in San Gabriel foothills

(would have to look at the map) is very tempting too!

 

We have possums too. Coyotes no. But dingoes are as bad as the

coyotes if not worse. There are also feral cats in some places out

of town. Also wild brumbies (horses) in remote places. No lions or

tigers. There are platypus and wombats to name a few natives. On the

coast or beach, sometimes we can see dolphins and whales during

certain seasons. Somewhere near Melbourne at a place called Philip

Island, there are penguins.
