Greetings from Australia

Namaskar DharmaDev Arya & Friends,

I've been lurking for some time but thought I should come out of the

woodwork to say hello. Its such a wonderful group here and everyone

sounds so nice. I've learnt so much from all your respective posts

and appreciate everything. The knowledge I've gained here, I haven't

been able to glean from anywhere else. Thank you all for sharing

wisdoms and experiences so unconditionally. Your insights are very

educational for 'newbies' like me.

Om Namah Shivaya,

Sy

Greetings from Australia

Salutations DharmaDev Arya,

Hope you won't be disappointed..... I'm female. Living in Sydney

city area. Unfortunately no cuddly koalas or skippy kangaroos around

but the cockatoos fly about sometimes.

About Yoga and Hindu communities, there are some in the country. As

per your request, shall make relevant posts via email from time to

time.

Greetings from Australia

Salutations DharmaDev Arya,

No apologies necessary at all please. It certainly wasn't your

fault. I didn't make clear about my gender right from the beginning.

I should be the one to apologize……

Indeed the 1008 names of Lord Shiva are eternally profound. You are

blessed to "know" you have a lifetime of study ahead. For

the 'misguided' like myself, study will take zillions of rebirths,

maybe more, sincerely.

Are you in a city town of California? They allow goats and cockatoos

in homes? You're not kidding me? If not, then Fortune certainly

favours you Kind Brother.

In Australia, most city landlords and real estate agents do not allow

tenants to have pets like cats and dogs. They may have a couple of

small budgies in a cage. To keep cats and dogs, they need permission

from the landlord/ strata management/real estate agents and in some

cases, even local councils.

People who own land and homes in suburban areas have better luck with

keeping cats or dogs. Those who live on a few acres of land in

country parts have free run with cats, dogs, chooks (chickens),

sheep, horses, cattle, etc.

Cockatoos are a protected species over here. They may fly around in

the cities but people are not allowed to feed them or catch them to

take home.

Thank you for having me here.

Best regards & bountiful blessings,

Sy

Greetings from Australia

Namaste DharmaDev Arya,

Wow! 5 acres next to national forest west of San Diego! Beautifully

idyllic. Lovely to hear the goats are outside and the feathered

friends are indoors in controlled conditions - sounds like paradise

to me! I'll try and find some ladies; got to make some posts to

other groups, please bear with me.

Hot tub and med room? OK, everybody over to SRDDA's house, after work!

We'll continue this discussion in his hot tub. <g>

Just kidding, m'dear.

But, NOT kidding-- SRDDA-- how are you folks doing with the Santa

Anas? Blowing away any goats? It blew the screen doors off my

apartment. Trees in the streets. You know, the usual Santa Ana mess--

at least for the San Gabriel valley. Is San Diego getting it? No

fires, though (yet).

Gotta go-- and reset all the digitals, set the time/date on the

computers.
