Guest guest
Oh Babaji: Those malas are wonderful. Truly a puja to Kali Ma. I had been wondering about using bone beads in rudrakshas and for her it would be most appropriate. The only oil I have heard to use on the rudrakshas is sandalwood. The added plus is it makes them smell wonderful. Some one else more knowledgable that I will have to jump in with the answers on the other oils. You may want to check with DharmaDev Aryaji as I think he may have found a good supplier of sandalwood oil. If I have time I will post my Kali malas. Yours are totally wonderful Babaji and to show them as part of a puja is blessed indeed. I know our Dark Mother is pleased with her beloved :-) Namaste Kanti In a message dated 9/8/2002 1:33:39 PM Central Daylight Time, baba108 writes: > My Beloved Self; > > If I understand correctly, mustard oil should not be used > because it darkens the beads. Guest guest
Kantiji, I am now just ordering some beads to make a mala for myself. 1M through 14 with a Gauri Shankar. Many, many years ago in India, I was shown how to tie the knots when making Mala and I am now practising and getting ready for when the order arrives and I start putting it together. You are exactly right. It is an act of devotion and very much a meditation. Tom PS I do computer image and web design work for a living. If ever you need any help, feel free to contact me off-list. >Thank you Tomji. >I am total bubble head when it comes to computer technology. >I'm going over the images on Rudra Center site now and replacing the blurry >ones. > > >If you approach it with devotion, anyone can make a mala. >When approached as puja or a meditation, they make themselves. >Is easier than one would think. > >Namaste. >Kanti
