Guest guest
People are always asking what 108 means, it is pertaining to nakshatra or lunar abodes. Nakshatra means undecaying. It pertains to consciousness. The part of consciousness that is lively - the shakti - the shakti has an ebb and flow called nitya. Nakshatras are 27 in number each has four aspects called padas. 27 x 4 = 108. 108 is the fullness of consciousness through all the padas of nakshatras and represents the full collection of nityas or consciousness raising modes of worship for a deity. Mala, means flowers. It pertains to open chakras. One full mala is representing all chakras entirely enlivened. One could argue the case for 108 being all Sanskrit letter with Ah and A vowels that would be close to the 108.
