Guest guest
Dear Davidji Namaskar My Friend and thank you for your message Is really a personal choice if you would like to wear your Japa Mala and also do Japa with same Mala there are those who do both and is probably more a matter of convenience as the neck is best place for a Japa Mala as far as I know. Then Mala is always there when needed anytime and anywhere Regarding not letting others see your Rudraksa I dont know where this might have come from as is not normally an issue in India where many wear their Rudraksa on a Necklace that show above the shirt neck line at the throat Wandering Sadhus walk about with Rudraksa Malas outside their clothing and also wear on chest with no shirt There are pictures of Gurus and Saints in India that show wearing on the outside of clothing for all to see also Is recommended best to wear the Rudraksa directly on the skin under clothing for best effect and in the colder anglo countries this results in the Beads not being seen by others however anytime you wish others to see your Rudraksa is really not a problem Other thing is really not a good idea to hand your Mala to another to hold or allow another to wear because the Rudraksa you wear is tuned to your system however allowing sight of Rudraksa is considered good Hope this helps Thanks and Take Care My Friend Aum NamaSivaya Sivaya Nama Aum DharmaDev Arya davidducommun12000 <res09i70 <> Saturday, August 24, 2002 10:00 PM Wearing Japa Mala... Greetings Group, Namaste Am curious about two things, I have read numerous times if mantras are recited on Japa mala, mala is not to be worn. Would this be true? Also have read in at least three separate places, Malas are not to be seen by other people. (have searched for this info again, but cannot find) Have enclosed website where first question came from. Also wanted to share that the amount of information in these 312 pages is amazing! I have learned so much from ALL of you and feel priveleged to be here. http://www.astromandir.com/rudcare.html (under care #5) Om Namah Shivaya David D.
