Guest guest
Dear Josephji... I have heard the same as well pertaining to malas breaking signifying karmic clearing and spiritual breakthrough..so yes, Congratulations! If your mala is mostly made of large beads and no punch mukhi's, you may also want to check out 1mm elastic thread available at Crafts places that have beading supplies. Its very strong and I find easier to work with than thread, however it is too wide to go through small 5 mukhis. Happy stringing :-) Prepare for tons of new higher energies! Om Namah Shivaya! Guest guest
Namaste Well it's nice to know I am not the only human suffering from busted mala syndrome LOL. I have tried everything from string to plastic cord and it still breaks. I have gotten very adept at putting it back together, with mantras flying. I get a big kick out of it. My beads have become living manifestations of the Gods. I will hold one in between my finger thru my shirt and chant, talk pray to it. I have grown very attached and devote to them. If they are not around my neck them are on my alter. God Bless you all from the bottom of my heart. I was doing Shiva puja yesterday (I am an amateur let me tell you). And then after I meditated which is where I can really feel the subtle levels of the state created. And I felt the blanket whitewashed purified feeling of the Shiva consciousness. It is a state of real purity where I feel as if not only my sins (or even just heaviness) are washed clean but for today as well I have felt as if I am burning other people's sins as well. This probably isn't as flashy and weird as it sounds. Perhaps most of you have the experience of being really clean and pure to where the bliss pours into the enviroment. Well this is the Shiva state. This is the Rudra state and the state of Rudraksha. Shiva, Rudra, Rudraksha cannot be harmed or sullied. Only the mind of the wearer can feel impure and project that onto the beads. But if you just let go of your concerns you have become a sannyasin inside and are a true Shiviaite. Shiva/Rudra are the state of re-ligare or religiousness where the consciousness engages only itself for however long, a minute or an hour. > > I had a strand of 3 mukhi with a 1 mukhi that I cooked with. This was my first strand. I am a cook by trade. I liked the idea of wearing Agni while cooking. I lost the 1 faced bead and felt pretty bad. But luckily my wife found it behind a garbage can in a corner. We searched high and low and had a nice time looking for it. I may not have had that fine morning making us breakfast at the place if not for the bead. But moreover, I still have it, I saved it from an uncertain fate, and I cherish it. This must be good enough for Rudra. Thinking of God is the ultimate concern and this is where hInduism comes in, it is a very personal religion where one gets to know one's gods by name and worship them, and in many cases even meet them. This is the great thing about rudraksha is we wear the Deva or Mahadeva. This is a holy thing, but it makes us realize we are All and everything is all holy. We can't run and hide, we can't lose or break the Lord, it is only realization of this that is needed. We don't even have to have rudraksha but this mini lila is very enlightening. Wearing the beads is conducting puja on our person. > > I think there are many more subtle persons than myself. I need the beads and pujas and visions to remind myself of God due to my needing external stimulation for guidance. But often I can't even see what's in front of my face. Shiva is very easy to worship, notice and get rewards from. This is the strength of rudraksha. Sometimes we forget we are moving fast in a new direction. But look around, some people never even move at all. RR beads are a fulcrum. The fulcrum of living God consciousness. Some people think God consci9ousness or unity consciousness are a thing far away. They aren't when you wear rudraksha. They are very near, and breaking a strand is a pretty funny thought. I ask my wife sometimes when I chip a bead if they're messed up. She always says NO. There is no breaking God. > > >
Guest guest
Dear Josephji Namaskar My Freind and really congratulations on your first Mala Breaking In India when mine broke twice in same 3 week time frame a friend had to explain to me that when we go through spiritual breakthroughs Mala simply break and it is expected I could not find any other explanations as I had done nothing to have the Mala break twice in such a short time frame You are more than capable to string your own Mala I keep my Mediation Mala on simple thread so I can string and restring as is needed to add more beads Advice is to go to sewing and cloth shop in town and find needles that will hold the stronger thread and at the same time go through the holes in the beads or silver items on your Mala Sometimes the holes are so small we have to string first with really light thread and really small needle and then pull the main string through the hole in the Beads or findings by looping the thicker thread through the lighter thread and pulling through People at the sewing store can advise on the heavy thread they carry in stock Other solution is to send here and I will string for you as I do the repairs for clients in the US However is really a lot of fun personal experience to string yourself because then you can buy loose beads and add to your Mala whenever you like Thanks and Take Care My Friend DharmaDev Arya jrip_37923 <rippy <> Thursday, July 11, 2002 7:45 PM Help with broken Mala Dear list, Namaste! Early today, the Rudraksha Mala I wear broke. Fortunately, only one bead separated from the mala and stayed within my t-shirt, not falling to the ground. Only 3 of the silver pieces fell on the floor. When I arrived home tonight I placed the Rudraksha necklace on the home alter. I am more than willing to restring the mala, but lack any experience. Would someone tell me if I should do this or should someone with skill in these matters do it? Being this is my first mala string break, I feel I need guidance in the proper method of restringing the Rudraksha along with advice on the strongest type of string material to use. Thank you for any and all advice in this situation! Sincerly, Joseph Rippy
