Guest guest
Hi Dharma Deva Aryaji: Yes I have been having lots of fun following the Inspiration of Sri Maha Ma Saraswati & combining Rudrakshas with Gemstones for wrist and necklace japa malas. Thanking you bucketfuls for sharing the information just awhile back on the Deities and the Gemstones because that was immensely helpful. I had mentioned a while back that my heart connection to Rudrakshas deepened once I started to approach each mukhi as the specific representation of the Godhead it is. This information is listed, as we all know in the books "Rudraksha and Ratna" & "Rudraksha Therapy" Having some loose rudraksha beads there was this explosion of inspiration to string them with the gemstone beads that correspond to the Deity of that mukhi. I have sold crystals and been a crystal therapist for almost 20 years and received Certification from a School in England as a Color Therapist over 10 years ago so, I have a good solid background in gems and color that I can really fly with all this!! Anyway, I had all of the supplies already and did not have to go out to purchase 1 bead to make the malas for each mukhi. :-) I didn't want to mix the mukhi's. I wanted to make each mala a puja of gems and color for each deity. The effects have been quite extraordinary. Have made mostly wrist malas and one necklace mala. I find wrist malas are especially handy for doing japa in public places and they are very wearable. Also give a visual reminder of the presence of God with me. Here's what I have come up with the last couple of Days. 3 Mukhi Lord Agni Three 3 Mukhi Beads I did not have Coral, so used instead: Carnelion and Goldstone, for they too are akin to the Spiritual Fire of Yagna I used a Yellow Cats Eye for the Manu Bead in Honor of Swaha, the Shakti of Agni. (Being a Bhakta of the Devi, I had to) With a lot of these, I used what I had. Just wanted to dive into the fun of making them and putting them on & see what would happen to me instead of stopping and shopping. But with the gem and color knowledge, all that I have substituted are working beautifully. will jump to 5 mukhi, cause energy works well with 3 Mukhi 5 Mukhi Lord Rudra Kalagni Guru Didn't have any Citrine, so went instead with Yellow Amber and Yellow & White Oynx. The Oynx is nice as it qualities have alot of similarities to quartz, which is closely linked to the Devi, so we need some room for the Shakti to live. To me it also represents the pure state of the Guru Also added a couple of Carnilion for the Kalagni Rudra Fire. I am wearing the mala on my left wrist with the 3 mukhi on either side of the nine bead 9mukhi Goddess Durga wrist mala from Rudra center. Flows beautifully energetically and Shri Durgaji and all the Nava Devis seem to enjoy the company 4 Mukhi Lord Brahma Not having some loose emeralds lying around collecting dust, I used the green gem, adventurine. I also added white and clear quartz, representing the vastness and boundless nature of Lord Brahma. 4 and 6 mukhi are used in Saraswati malas and since crystal belongs to the Devi, I wanted to add. 6 Mukhi Lord Kartikeya/ Venus Sphatik quartz is substitute for Diamonds. I used clear, milky and rose pink quartz As written in the scriptures, malas of these two mukhi's are to be worn on right wrist. Seeing that I was starting to run out of arm space, there was one mukhi left and that was 7mukhi that is Anag Shiva and Shri Maha Lakshmi, so I made a beautiful 54 bead mala to wear around neck. There are two 7mukhi beads at center. Between them is a beautiful amethyst pendant sent in 24k Gold. The gembeads that form the mala are made from quartz, amethyst, and lavender cats eye. It really looks wonderful. I used the beads themselves as spacers. 8mm size. Also found some of those wonderfuls flowers that Neetaji has to surround beads. I used Gold plated. The combination of the flower fillers and the different colored beads make the pieces look very rich and elegant. Today I went out and found some inexpensive amethyst and citrine pendants that would work between a couple of rudraksha beads and would be very appropriate for a man how may not want so many gem beads. The malas would also look good with just one kind of stone too. Would also be a nice touch to just add a couple of stones to a punch mukhi mala. What I am finding is the Rudraksha's are most definately amplifying the properties of the stones, without a doubt. I think that there is an artistic quality to these that will attract people who know nothing about rudrakshas. On a deeper spiritual level, it brings in the lanquage of light which is an attribute of the Shining Ones and Lord Shiva. The Lord creates with sound which are the mantras and devangari alphabet, but there is always the element of Light, which we perceive as color, which are in the gem stones... cool, eh? So that's all for now until I get more beads ;-) Having Fun at Rudra Center Heartland... Kanti Om Namah Shivaya PS Dharma Devaji: Its on my things to do list to dig up the reference to Kusha Grass in Bhagavad Gita. Just haven't found it yet (and have been playing with all these devas in the beads !)
