Guest guest
Namaste All, These upcoming events were brought to my attention recently at a presentation in Santa Barbara given by Marshall Rosenberg on Nonviolent Communication. Another student had been to see this movie and showed me the post-card flyer she had about it. For anyone in the southern California area interested in attending, please e-mail me at buttercookie61 to let me know. Use the subject listed above, or put Ojai in the subject so I will know in advance what the message is regarding. Thanks. This is an invitation to come to Ojai on Saturday May 6, 2006 to revitalize and/or connect with spirit, heart, love, compassion, nature, and creative energy of all kinds. We would like to invite you to the following events which consist of an independent movie and a contemplative walk. For details, see below. [Nonviolent Communication students] have seen and recommend, "One The Movie," A Contemporary Journey Toward a Timeless Destiny, which features Deepak Chopra, Ram Dass, Thich Nhat Hanh, Riane Eisler, The 14th Dalia Lama and many more. Says one: "It is really exciting to think about questions like, "Why are we here?" The movie is showing at 4:30 p.m. at The Ojai Playhouse and tickets cost $10 each. For anyone/everyone interested in attending, we are offering to carpool to Ojai as a group (or several groups if necessary). There is also a special offer to arrive at 1:30 p.m. to participate in a meditation/contemplation walk/ journey. See below. What made this so strange, is that he was not a film-maker. In fact, he had no training, education or experience whatsoever in the field. So, he immediately called his cousin and best friend to enlist their help with the project. They eagerly agreed. Problem: They were not film-makers either. About this time, the local PBS station had been airing a series called The Power of Myth, featuring renowned American philosopher Joseph Campbell ( Terms of Service. The energy of Oneness would be the force to carry the day. No experience, no connections, no script, no equipment, no budget ...no problem! WHY? In an increasingly divided world... the power of Oneness is longing to emerge; and it is an energy that the novice film-makers knew would transcend any limitations of those who took-up the cause.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> thanks mary ann; amma bless, amarnath Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha!
