Guest guest
Sri Ketan, 27 large faceted crystal beads in that size is MORE than enough to compare. I think the question of drilling any "single unit" gem brings up the question of killing the gem. But in fact we see that drilled quartz beads do not die away in the least. Same with natural pearls that have been drilled...they do not appear to die. Kind of like piercing one's ear doesn't reduce health even though the body is pearced. So the whole thing is a good subject of debate. Any one have any ideas about DRILLED gems? Is cutting the outside different than cutting the inside? And if drilled gems are not effected then what about the process of removing black spots from diamonds using laser? If drilling is OK, then laser is just micro-drilling?
