Would tend to agree with you from what the Holy Book reference

One place in the Padma Purana there is a reference that states

A man obtains a lakhfold merit by seeing it

A crorefold by obtaining it and ten crores by wearing it

Then in Siva Purana it states

A Mantra repeated with Rudraksha is a crore more times efficacious

So from seeing to actually chanting with the Holy Beads the power of the intent

and purpose of Accomplishment becomes greater

In the SriMadDeviBhagavat it states

Mahamate thus if a man wears Rudraksha with or without Mantras.......with shame

or otherwise gets rid of all the sins and attains perfect knowledge

There is no mention of what the perfect knowledge might be in this

reference.......... and in addition we are always seeing that the text is

speaking about men when there is reference in one Holy Book that all castes can

wear and also women can wear although I cant find that reference at the moment

also states in SriMadDeviBhagavat

According to Jabala the instinct for wearing Rudraksha results only after the

perfection of the Vedas and Blessings of Lord Siva during preceeding births

This is a most important reference as it shows that Accomplishments of

preceeding births can lead to the wearing of Rudraksha in this Lifetime

Hope this helps

Wishing you and Family the Best

Dear Sri DharmaDevji,

Namaste!!! Thanks for the verses. I certainly believe them.

Here is another question: Some people say Rudraksha require faith to work, but I believe

they have power with or without faith. If a non believer puts on a Rudraksha it will benefit

him or her, regardless of their faith or ignorance. Just like Lord Shiva, the Rudraksha go

where they please. I believe it is not possible to get a Rudraksha without the Blessing or

Will of Lord Shiva. Some people benefit more than others depending on their prarabdha

karma. But it's not possible to separate Lord Rudra from His Aksha.

What is your opinion?

It says in Sri Garuda Puranam about rubies that even an ignorant person

living a sinful life will benefit greatly if they happen to wear a

Jyotish quality ruby. And how much greater is Rudraksha (Lord Shiva

Mahadeva) compared to Ruby (Lord Suryadeva).

This is just my opinion...
