The asking price is US$50,000 It seems amazing that for that much you could buy a barrel of Laksmi Conch shells, even one of which is superior to a shank-mani. Often rich men donate rare items to government sponsored museums, with inflated replacement value from appraiser, and get tax write off. I personally know a lot of rich people but I can't think of a single once who would pay that price for a conch pearl. Never the less, it is a fair price for such a rarity.
