Guest guest
Dear Ole, To be truthful I never made a study of the ontology of Durga puja. I know that in Vedic times they used to sacrifice animals along with blessing of human birth. But that is forbidden, along with Sannyasa, in Kai Yuga. So people are doing on their own because there is no need to kill in order to Worship Goddess Durga. Guest guest
Dear Richard, Thanks for info, I am getting a book of history of Pashupatinath from a rudraksha contact in Kathmandu. I was told that only born hindus can enter Pashupatinath and take Darshan, similar to Jagannatha in Puri, but did you ever manage to somehow get in yourself, like in company of Nepali Sadhus or VIPs? I wonder if/why Goddess Durga would like animals slaughtered and offered to Her? Thanks, Ole sacred-objects, "Richard Shaw-Brown II" <rsbj66> wrote: > > Dear Ole, > > To be truthful I never made a study of the ontology of Durga puja.
