Guest guest
Dear Richard and group, I have been looking at different gemstones (not intending to buy though, just looking). Is such an exiting world ... There is Padparadsha - the lotus-colored sapphire, pink sapphire, violet, orange and bi-color. The nature takes so many wonderful colors and forms! These stones are not included among the planetary gemstones but still, do they have any effect on the wearer (except the obvious pleasure given by the beauty of the stone and, yes, maybe even the fact that its so expensive?) Another recent discovery is from the Buddhist tradition: the little Tibetan amulets called thogchag, some of which date back to the pre- Buddhist era. Tibetans believe they have fallen from the sky - a point of view which of course should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, they are supposed to contain metal smelted from meteorites, "sky metal" they call it. They are collectors objects and the prices range from 20 to several hundreds of dollars on the net. I'm just asking if any one of you is a collector or otherwise has an experience with them? Thanks Mary
Guest guest
Dear Mary, These different colors of sapphire are related to different planets too. Like Pink Sapp is just a light colored ruby for Sun, Orange Sapp is leadership color of Jupiter, Violet is for Saturn like Blue Sapphire, etc. The Tektites you mention are two types: 1) Meteor GLASS and 2) Meteor METAL. Both DO come from the sky. And both are considered lucky, although no one knows what they are good for. I know where to get both types, but we have no demand for them. And if there is no demand after thousands of years then it shows they are not very potent. Thats a logical conclusion. But it surely can't hurt to use them. Guest guest
Dear Richard, I understand ... however what about Padparadsha which is a pinkish, coppery sunset color? Jupiter? or Mars? Sun? And bi-color sapphire, eg yellow and blue, both clearly defined? Would that cover 2 planets? Jupiter and Saturn? Another thought: are planetary strengths/deficiencies linked to strengths/deficiencies of chakras? Eg: the Sun - root chakra etc.? Or is this a different system? Richard, I really don't want to take advantage of your kindness but I'm trying to figure these things out for myself ... Please take your time, I'm in no hurry at all. Thank you for your knowledge and patience.
