posted right hand shankh pics, pls let me know about them

I saw both the pictures. Those do NOT look like Shank. Those are Lightning

Whelk. Now

THIS is the problem I have been describing. Someone must be telling you they are

Lakshmi

Conch. If so, then you request a "Conchology" report stating the shell to be

Turbinella

Pyrum Valampuri.

 

The real one has 3 to 5 ridges inside the mouth. But Lightning Whelk is Whelk

(not Conch)

and has no ridges.

 

If you keep looking you will continue to be shown the Whelk shell (which is NOT

from

India). This is either ignorance or cheating. Please ask the seller which is

applicable in this

case.

 

John Ravi, Ramnath & Chandrashekar all have REAL ones, and they sell REAL ones.

Otherwise it is hard to find suppliers as they are VERY rare and no one has

MANY. It is

always one here or there. Please place an order with the above people. I have

only made

transaction with John Ramnath and he was honest, but I know the other two

persons also

have the real Lakshmi conch, and it sells by gram @Rs.1000 and up
