Thank you for the message,we welcome you to our group.

If there is one thing which can give extraordinary benefit to almost everybody,

it is the Rudraksha. It is a source of tremendous power & energy, but it is

necessary to take the following Precautions, in order to get real benefit :

1. Ensure that the Rudrakshas you are buying are of ultimate quality, purity &

power. The market is flooded with fake & cheap versions of the original -

Wearing these will only give you psychological satisfaction, no real benefit.

2. The Rudraksha has to be worn for the first time, on a prescribed day & time,

after recitation of specified Mantra & offering obeisance to it, as per

religious procedures.

3. Rudraksha should preferably be worn in a thread, or a gold/silver chain

around the neck, for maximum benefit. The thread should be changed regularly,

before it gets dirty or worn out.

4. Rudraksha should be regularly cleaned and kept strictly free from layers or

deposits of dirt/dust. After being cleaned, it should be oiled with pure oil or

'desi' ghee, and treated with incense or perfume. This increases it's strength,

power & benefits manifold.

5. Rudraksha should not be worn during the sexual act or bowel movements.

6. Normally within 45 days of wearing Rudraksha rosary you can start feeling the

positive change. In 90 days you can feel much better. Thereafter it will work

continuously giving benefits.

Dear shiv bhakts

Regarding the parad shiva lingam – Any lingam and its yoni bhaga has

to face either north if the jiva is worshipping facing east. The

yoni bhaga can face east and the jiva sits facing north to do pooja.

If the pooja is done only in the morning the first is the right way.

Regarding the genuineness of a Rudraksha – The Rudraksha will crack

within days of doing pooja if *not* genuine.

dear shiv bhakts

om namo bhagawate rudraya

as per shiva puran, the worshipper shall sit at the south side of

the shivling facing east for doing pooja to the shivling.

there were also rules that lord shiva has a permanent fixed weekly

schedule where on each day he would be at a particular place and one

day when he is in the burial ground, if people worship him, they get

death.

even though i have limited knowledge on these scriptures i

personally feel lord shiva will not grant death to his devotees

worshipping him on a particular day. all shiva temples across the globe do

worship the shivling ALL DAYS including these prohibited days. also even if the

direction is wrong than prescribed in the puranas, one shall not worry too much.

lord shiva is bhola shankar. just remember his name, chant his

mantras, praise his glory and worship him by sitting in any

direction, you can be sure you would not be punished by the bhola

shankar.

as per the shivapuran, a fake rudraksha or a worn and torn rudraksha

or infected rudraksha with holes is not worthy for worshipping.

hence if you buy the rudraksha from a genuine place and are sure

about its genuinity you can worship it. it would be sacrilege for

any of us to comment whether your rudraksha is genuine or duplicate

without seeing it. also subjecting a genuine rudraksha with a doubt

and testing it for finding authenticity is not advisable and you may

worship the same. when you can find lord shiva in a stone why not

you find him in a rudraksha. shraddha is more important.

Dear Knowleded List Members,

On the subject of Parad linga, could someone explain the

significance of a parad Linga as opposed to other lingas. Does kind

of prayers help manifest ther full potential of this linga? If

anyone has any information on this or could provide pointer to

resources on the web containing the asked information, than I would

appreciate it.
