Guest guest
My questions to you all are1. Can Sri Rudram be recited without su-swara? If so what could be the reason?2. Can it be recited while travelling / walking / in office (not aloud but can i play it in my mind / in iPod?) 3. What precautions should I take while learning / reciting?4. What references(books / websites/ CDs) would you all suggest?rgds,Mahesh.PS: I am based in Hyderabad.

I am trying as much as possible to get the swaras correct as well. Please enlighten me. What is the requirement for chanting Rudram? Sincerely, Bhupendra. , Parthasarathy Gopalan <gsarathy32 wrote: > > hi, > in hyderabad there is sankarmutt and other andra veda > patasalas.feel free to go there meet the chief. > tell your ambitions. > they will guide you properly. > rudram is a lifetime achievement. > dont make halfhearted attempts. > as a grihasta it may take years for you to even chant. > then prayogam > dress code, > learn sanskrit, being taught freely by samskrita barati > all over india!you can approach them.they also have a > website. > learn meanings of rudram, > if you are a postgraduate register for Ph.D.IN ANY > SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY! > propogate what you have learnt to the generations! > you have sown the seeds of learning. > cherish, > nurture. > dont stop with chanting alone. > spread the message of rudram! > i can even provide the names of teachers in sankar > mutt at hyderabad if you so desire in my next mail!. > donot learn thro casettes. > learn thro a guru face to face! > I WILL BE HAPPY TO RECEIVE YOUR FEEDBACK > > GPS > > --- Jnanarthi J <jnanarthi wrote: > > > All, > > > > I am planning to learn Sri Rudram Namakam Chamakam > > on my own (using Books & > > CDs) and recite regularly.
