There are 4 girl students below her to the right who appear to be praying. Directlly to the left of her is a lady carrying shafts of wheat on her head and a sickle. Directly to the right of her is a man in a white robe a loose pants with a green sash, a red bag in his left hand and his right hand holding a red bag slung over his shoulder. Guest guest
Sharon >From your description it sounds as if it is the picture of 'Ann Purna Devi'. Ideally you ought to scan the picture and post it on the group site for proper identification. The description fits the form of Deity Ann Purna. This form of deity is worshipped for blessings of food and harvest. It is believed that if one can get this form of Deity to be pleased, the person can feed an army from a bowl full of rice and would never run out of grains and other food no matter how much they use it. Not sure about the weapons in the hands of the Goddess though. Hope this helps. Kind regards Anand [] On Behalf Of L Sharon GraySent: 02 March 2006 22:48Subject: What Goddess is this?
