Guest guest
dear friend om namo bhagawate rudraya lord shiva is not worshipped in his statue or idol form at homes. only his linga roop (shivling) is worshipped. however, if a person is not able to do abhishekam to it daily, it is better not to have a shivling kept at home without any samskar. photos of lord shiva in any form can be put in any house easily and worshipped or just kept for auspiciousness. "om namah shivaya" mantra is sufficient for chanting by the devotees at home and lord shiva dwells in all those houses and hearts where his mantra is chanted. worshiping a sanctified and energised ek mukh rudraksha would also get immense blessings from lord shiva. in praise of lord shiva and with best wishes arjun , hurry richa <hurrybh> wrote: > > > Namaskar > > Can anyone plz tell me how do u worship the lord everyday. Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya Sri Arjun Pandit-ji, Kindly tell us what is the simple way to perform abhishekam daily. I have a small linga at home but have never performed abhishekam - I do mentally chant Om Namah shivaya 216 times everyday. thanks, Om Namah Shivaya
Guest guest
Dear Arjunji, I also thought the same about he linga but a lot of people seem to have a linga at home and are pretty casual about it which confuses the hell out of me becuase I have been thinking about getting one at some point in time becuase the Siva-Purana gives a lot of significance to praying Siva Linga. But I guess from what you are saying, my reservations about having a Linga in the house is probably correct. Is 1 mukhi rudraksha still available these days? Guest guest
Dear Arjunji, Namaskar. Can we do abhishekam just with water. And then light Agarbhatti. Is this sufficient. Or do we also need to keep flowers and burn dhiyas. Regards, Kishore. , "panditarjun2004" <panditarjun2004> wrote: > > dear friend > om namo bhagawate rudraya > > lord shiva is not worshipped in his statue or idol form at homes. > only his linga roop (shivling) is worshipped. however, if a person > is not able to do abhishekam to it daily, it is better not to have a > shivling kept at home without any samskar. > > photos of lord shiva in any form can be put in any house easily and > worshipped or just kept for auspiciousness. > > "om namah shivaya" mantra is sufficient for chanting by the devotees > at home and lord shiva dwells in all those houses and hearts where > his mantra is chanted. > > worshiping a sanctified and energised ek mukh rudraksha would also > get immense blessings from lord shiva. > > in praise of lord shiva and with best wishes > arjun > > , hurry richa > <hurrybh> wrote: > > > > > > Namaskar > > > > Can anyone plz tell me how do u worship the lord everyday.
