Guest guest
Hi there Can someone publish the Sanskrit/Devnagiri version of maha Mratyunjaya mantra please? It is just that I do not seem to be able to find it in it's original form in Sanskrit and the english version does not give accurate pronunciation and I want to re-start chanting this maha mantra. Much appreciated Kind regards Anand
Guest guest
Sri Harihara in Prasna Marga, we advise that this mantra should be recited for 8000 times in a period of forty days. The recitation of 108 mantra for forty days both in the morning and evening covers this requirement. For other purposes larger number of repetitions are advised. After lighting a lamp and sitting in any yogic posture (preferably Padmasana) while facing east. Recite the Maha-mantra 108 times (one rosary) or its multiples in each sitting. This is the greatest work of Maharishi Vashistha. Before commencing the Mahamrityunjaya mantra recite the mantra to the everlasting spirit of the Maharishi Vasistha for his blessings and guidance. Thereafter, perform Rudrabhishek (Ritual offering of the Panca-Amrita or the five forms of nectar as Honey, Ghee, Curd, Milk and Water) on the Shivalinga. Guest guest
Namaste There is another doubt that also prevails: Some texts use "bandanaath" instead of "bandanaan". Guest guest
the mantra that u gave is actually the MRITYUNJAYA MANTRA. the maha mrityunjaya mantra consists of 6 OMS. it is given below: OM HAUM JOOM SAH OM BHU BHUVAH SVAH OM TRYAMBAKAM YAJAMAHE SUGANDHIM PUSHTIVARDHANAM URVARUK MIV BANDHANAN MRITYURMUKSHIYA MAMRUTAT OM SVAH BHUVAH BHU OM SAH JOOM HAUM OM. this is known as the MAHA mrityunjaya mantra. If u recite it in front of a phallic emblem of shiva in a shiv temple then you generate tremendeous positive energy........specially in front of a jyotirlinga with real rudraksha beads. Guest guest
Dear Kanishk, you are absolutely right, true love and true bhakti, compassion and kindness are the best approach to lord shiva, but chanting mantras help people to change and realize the lord and come close to god, so eventually people who chant mantras will get into the path of bhakti. Mantras when chanted, invoke divine energy which will heal us, guide us in the divine Lord shiva's Path. Regards, Divakar. --- kc3377 <kc3377 wrote: > but it is best that you do bhakti with deep love for > lord shiva, and > help the needy, speak good, think good, act good, > hear good. Guest guest
Sh.pdk kotak, At the very outset our sincere appologies for giving you a late reply due to preoccupied assignments. BANDI (Folded Hands) KANJ (Para Brahma) PAD JOREE (Both Feet) KAR SHRIPATI (Lord Vishnu, here in this instance it shall be Lord SreeRam) GOWRI (Maa Parvati) GANESH (Lord Ganesh) TULSIDAS KAHATAY SUYASH (Fragrance is the actual meaning, here in this case it should be taken as pleasure) BARNOW (Narration) KATHAA (Story) DINESH (Daily) BANDOW (Salutations) CHARAN (Feet) HRIDAY DHARI (Present in Heart) PREM (Love with all purity in it) BHAKTI (Dedication) MAN (Heart) LAAY (Bring) MAHIMAA (Grace) AGAM APAAR (Multidirectional Boundless) HAI SAAHIB (Lord) GYAAN (Knowledge) SAHAAY (Help) This verse is from the language of "Avadhi" (The birth place of Lord Sree Ram), and is written by the great Saint Tulsidas. The meanings of the words in the aforesaid stanza are bracketed. Substance of the verse is as appended below. Tulsidas with utmost joy and pleasure says that one who narrates (Prays by Anga pooja, Ashtottar, Sahasranam pooja or reading the life story) Lord Ram, Maa Gowri and or Lord Ganesh, the Para Brahmans with folded hands, and paying the reverence and respect to the Lotus feet of the Lord, who stays in his heart, would certainly benefited with love and Salvation. In other words, He says the meditating the Lord in his heart would give one nothing but Love. The love here means selfless with no discrimination and takes one forward to his destiny. Pure love does not indicate renouncing the world. One enjoys everything as part of nature without owning anything. The Complete surrender to the Lord bestows eternal pleasure as one sheds all "ragas" and could realize the higher self in one. It leads to the fulfillment of goal, when one knows fully about oneself. Saint Tulsidas continues further and says, as Lord comes forward to help, one gets multi directional and boundless knowledge due to Lord's grace. This indicates the only hurdle in fulfillment of the goal is "Raaga, Dwe'shaa etcetera. Through this verse, Saint Tulsidas is showing the correct and right path for every individual.
