Guest guest
Namaskar and thank you for your questions.........am sure it is OK for a person to do Jap in Bed in sitting or lying down position as there are many who are sick and cannot even sit up in bed sometimes so there has to be an allowance to do Jap while sitting in bed We know from reading the book Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley Farrand that the MahaMrityunjaya Mantra is undertaken for longevity and good health If we accept this as a Truth then quoting from the Book Rudraksha by Dr Subas Rai the Thumb or Angushta is used for final emancipation and would qualify for the MMJ...............Third finger of Sun or ring finger is used for peace Peace and Happiness and Good Health usually go together so by revolveing the Japa Mala betweeen thumb and finger of Sun would most likely be conducive to recieveing the benefits of longevity with final emancipation with good health by recieving the benefits of peace in ones life Index finger of Jupiter is said to be used for the prosperities through tradings and business and finger of Saturn for wealth and happiness.......finger of Sun for peace and finally Anamika or finger of Mercury for all types of Mantras and Siddhis from this we can see that if we wish to go one step further with this a person would be increaseing the influence of their MMJ if they used thumb and Sun and Mercury Fingers to revolve the Japa Mala hope this helps Wishing you and Family the Best DD In a message dated 11/28/2005 8:08:11 AM Pacific Standard Time, bindal (AT) dcmtech (DOT) co.in writes: Aum Namah Shivaya Which fingers should be used for doing MMJ Jaap on 5 Mukhi Rudraksha Mala ? Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya While we are on the issue of jaap, I have some more questions. How to get initiated into a jaap mantra ? Is a guru absolutely required ? Are we supposed to stick to only one jaap mantra ? Who is the mantra Rishi for "Om Namah Shivaye" and Mahamrutyunjaye mantra ? thanks, Om Namah Shivaye --- anil <bindal wrote: > Aum Namah Shivaya > > Which fingers should be used for doing MMJ Jaap on 5 Mukhi Rudraksha Mala ? > > Can Jaap be done on Bed in a sitting posture ? > > Hari Aum > anil > > > > Links > > > > > > > > Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005

Guest guest
For success (i.e. self-realization) in mantra jaap, a guru's initiation is absolutely required. when a guru initiates you into a mantra, a part of his energy is transmitted to you, thus making the intention to chant stronger and more effective. However, you can safely chant some mahamantras without initiation to foster your spiritual inclination. Om Namah Shivaya, the MMJ, and the Hare Krishna mantras are some examples. The Rishi for MMJ is sage Vashistha. Jai Ma! , Brahmarpanam Brahmhavih <mahadevadvaita> wrote: > > Om Namah Shivaya > While we are on the issue of jaap, I have some more questions.
