which I wrote to my friend Jason Agresti(Mahendranauthji).Hope other members

benefit from it too as it contains nothing personal but a common problem faced

by many young parents.It has no direct relevance to Devi

but still I post it as it will break the monotony a bit. Dear Mahindranauth

Bhai, (Dakshinamurthy with his

Muni-disciples) Dakshinamurthy is an amsa of Shiva. 'Dakshina' means south

in Sanskrit. 'Dakshina' Kalike means 'Kali' as worshipped in SouthIndia.

Maybe you got confused with this term and asked me whether Dakshinamurthy is

Kali.I can understand your plight.Do not worry.I will help you. South

India is known for it's highly secretive and Tantric practices.

Dakshinamurthy faces south in any Alaya.Dakshinamurthy is a Tantric God and a

spiritual Guru-God combined.His mantra is more powerful than the common

Hayagreeva Mantra(Unless you know the Veeja-mantra(Beejamantra) of Hayagreeva

which you must add) for getting 1.Enlightenment 2. Medhas-Good and

spiritual Intellect 3.Memory 4.Education He bestows Knowledge and

enlightment and is considered the God among Gurus and Guru among Gods.

(Dakshinamurthy idol in Southindia,Tamilnadu) There is even a

Dakshinamurthy Samhita which extols the greatness of Srividya worship as the

highest form of Devi meditation.It also elaborates on Srisuktha. Now coming

to the question of Braahmi Ghritam and your son who is not studying well.

(Brahmi also called Water Hyssop in

English) Please do not be concerned about your son's studies too much. Each

person has a different set of intelligence modes. If you have attended any NLP

workshop or read any book on the subject you will know that there is a

kinesthetic mode,auditory mode and visual mode (or a combination of all these

modes). You must know which mode his brain is wired to and attune it to that

mode. (Mind Map done by a small kid....play is a study of the mind and

study is a play of the mind!) Teach him to mind map on any subject. You will

get many books on the Mindmapping technique.(One famous book being Buzan's(father of mindmapping) "The Mind Map Book"). Also a perusal of

Harry Loraine Memory techniques and Trachtenberg systme of Basic Mathematics

will increase his potential to remember anything and

do the Math well. Also allow him to develop himself,learn from his

mistakes(too much of spoon feeding will pamper the "child" in him too much,

strike a balance),play and fiddle around and be creative. Let him not lose his

childhood and become a "mini adult" by your "adult" pressure. Now regarding

Brahmi Ghritam...your pertinent query... Brahmi Ghritam can be found in any

good ayurvedic shop. Write the "Ayeeim" Beeja on the toungue of your son daily

with a silver stick blunted on it's edges and also give one spoon of the same

with milk immidiately after in the morning daily. He will live a hundred years

with fabulous memory! Ghrita/Ghritam means Ghee in sanskrit. Brahmi is

a memory enhancing Indian herb which is mixed with certain other herbs in the

ghee.Brahmi (Bacopa) is a very popular herb in India since ancient time. It is

used in various compositions according to the diseases. Brahmi is very much

effective in case of increasing strength and memory. It also help peoples to

get relief from mental stress.It is known as 'Vallaarai' in Tamil. A Ghee

(Ghritam) preparation of Brahmi is called Brahmi Ghritam. The composition also

imagine

an yellow fire in his heart burning with golden streaks as in God Ganesh's

aura.Thisn is more powerful than Hayagreeva mantra which is chanted for 108

times daily.However Hayagreeva mantra with Beejas(Veejas) will yield the same

result. There was even a Bharti Swami who was a Medha Dakshinamurthy Upasaka!

and also ask him to refrain from 1.Mixing with useless and unevolved

elements in the class. 2.Harbour great feelings of self-respect than

inferiority that he belongs to the Indian community.We can shake the world but

we have always concentrated in shaking our inner cores first.So ask him to be

proud in a right way that he is an Indian. 3. Ask him to feel responsible for

are 'changing' fast. Time is a great trickster.Sometimes it seems to move fast

sometimes it seems to move slowly.All a "Kalamaya" of Parabrahma to make us

realise that we are not to arrogate ourselves. I miss my footballing and

fall.I have to go to Canada before that for my family as you know Iam an

immigrant there. Your son must do the dakshinamurthy

mantra not you. Take a silver stick and write daily with it's blunted edge

dipped in honey or brahmi ghrita on his tougue the ayieem beeja. You can get

braahmi ghritam from kerala. Ask the keralites in your office if they know

Kottakal ayurveda they will help you. Else an online search will fetch you

results. The Dakshinamurthy Mantra is OM HREEM DAKSHINAMURTHYAYE MAHYAM

MEDHAAM PRAGNAAM PRAYACCHA SWAHA. There is another mantra which I will give

later. Ask your son to imagine a yellow flame in his heart for wisdom while

doing the mantra. The "yellow" should be pure like Ganeshji's Aura with some
