YONI MUDRA

 

The tips of Tarjani (the index fingers) and Angustha (thumb) of both hands are

made to touch each other and are out stretched. The Angustha (thumb) end is

facing towards the body where as Tarjanis (index fingers) are stretched away

from the body. The remaining fingers one hand is made to cross locked or

entwined with the fingers of the other hand.

 

This Mudra stops the dissipated prana from the body generated during meditation

and returns it to the mind. It tends to open up chest area as the shoulders are

liable to move side wards while making this Mudra.

 

 

 

 

 

A word of caution is that, this being an advanced

Mudra, which should not be practiced with out sufficient practice in Pranayama.

As it invokes the energy from the point of origin too quickly and in abundance,

one may not bear the high energy thus produced. There by it may mental

imbalance. Hence this Mudra shall be practiced after performing Pranayama for

several years. This

Mudra shall be performed with the guidance of Guru (The learned Guide or teacher)

BHAIRAV MUDRA

 

Keep the right hand over the left hand, palms of both hands facing sky; hold the

Mudra in the lap. When the left hand is placed on the top of right hand (In

reverse order) it is called as Bhairavi Mudra.

 

This Mudra is adopted in association with Pran Mudra. This is further utilized

while doing PranaYama. Bhairav and Bhairavi Mudras are mainly the Mudras of

meditation for worshipping Lord Shiva and Shakti respectively. The Mudra

represents the union of Atma

with Paramatma.

 

 

 

· This Mudra increases the concentration while doing meditation.

 

10. MRIT SANJIVINI MUDRA APAN VAYU MUDRA

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This Mudra is also called as Hriday Mudra. Bend Tarjani (Index finger) to the

base of Angustha (Thumb) and straighten Kanistha (the little finger) while

Madyam (Middle finger) and anamika (Ring finger) touches the tip of Angustha

(The thumb) Keep the hand on the knees, facing the palm towards sky. (Up wards)

 

· It provides strength to Heart and also servers as a first aid in case

of heart attacks before the person reaches Doctor for necessary treatment.

· Controls and regulate blood Pressure by improving the vitality of

heart.

· Boost up Self Confidence.

Releases the cramped or restrained emotions of the heart and serves
