Guest guest
Dear Vetrivel Alaganathan Avargale, Two Headed Shani Bhagavan and his vahana Crow It was a bit of 'Dejavu' that you emailed me personally regarding the significance of feeding crows. I had just then finished my meals and had fed the crows(before sitting for my meals).I do it because I love animals and birds not just because it is evocative of my ancestors or the vehicle of Shaneeshwara. Dharma Sindhu,Muni Bhava bodhini and other sacred texts talk about the significance of the crow. There is even a 'Kakah Shastra'. I however feed the bird because I really like feeding birds and animals. Also, they are a delight to watch as they feed. I mix sometimes sesame seeds(fried, else they dont take it easily) and mix with ghee rice and feed them.Sesame rice balls are a 'preethi'(Favourite) of Shani Bhagavan. So one can appease one's malefic Saturn and also the Maharishi Kakabhujanga too. Kakabhujanga Maharishi(You can see a crow in his right hand). Feeding a crow will greatly please Him.Jaya KakaMaharishi~Jaya Bahula Devi ! As the crow is being fed one can chant the Kakabhujanga mantra(which I do) to make a better contact with the Maharishi. The mantra to invoke the Maharishi is Om Saramana Badhaguru Kasadara Vanamaya Swaha Crows are remarkably adaptable birds that will feed on a wide variety of foods, both natural and manmade, although some foods are favored over others and individual crows may have individual preferences. More recently, urban crows enjoy feeding at garbage dumps, dumpsters at fast food restaurants, picnic areas, and any place where human food waste is available. For the person who wishes to feed crows, any number of easily available foods will do. From personal observations, crows favor foods that have high fat or oil contents(that is why I mix sesame oil or ghee with the rice). There are times when I chant mantras and feed crows there are times when I feed just for the pure pleasure of feeding them. Feeding crows also helps to strengthen the nervous system in us by removing the karmic blockages. It goes without saying that Pithrus are satisfied. Pithrus mean manes here(ancestors who are no more)Their sookshma rupa is attached to the crow's sthula shareera and hence it is through the medium of the crow's body that they ingest. All this sounds funny for the modern day scientist who will laugh at such ''superstitions'' but there are many things that science has not even researched or for that matter known to even research. (Rare White Crow) Crow is a very intelligent bird. The benefit of feeding a crow is thus fourfold. 1. Pleasing The Pithrus 2. Pleasing Shani Bhagawan 3. Pleasing Kakabhujanga Maharishi 4. Pleasing the jeeva inside the crow.(In other words getting the blesisngs of the crow itself) All the four will bless you abundantly. Those who have shani in lagna or in a malefic position and those who have shani Maha Dasa or Antar Dasa running should feed crows. Crow is a helper of humanbeings because it scavenges. It should not be despised but rather loved.I infact invite crows to sit on my shoulders and take the food from my hand and it has been a mammoth task unlike a pegion because the crow is very intelligent and always suspects of human intentions and is also a very shy bird. So,it does not come so easily. But I have my ways. After feeding them however I take a bath. And till now not even one crow has brushed me or hit my head ! Despite striking once all members of my family on their heads in an outing.Bless a being and it will bless you back, curse a being and it will curse you back! Owls are supposed to be the enemies of crows but I would say that Man is the number 1 enemy of crow There are many omens associated with crows and also its worship. Also if a crow comes and hits one's head they have to immidiately go to a shiva temple and feed lord shiva with Rock salt and also ants with jaggery. All this must be done after taking a bath. Crows coming in dreams is also an omnious sign of Kalapurusha. Lot of Tantric rituals have crows as a material for sadhanas. But I personally do not like such things as it involves heavy karma just like ulluka sadhana(owl sadhana) which is even more dangerous. Killing a crow, frog, owl and cow are one of the worst sins ever a human can make. Crows have an intimate connection with the Goddess of creation. Crows also have a feeding modology in which they call other crows and never eat alone. They possess great group cohesiveness and many of you might have observed that if a crow dies all the other crows in the area come and display their emotions by constantly cawing their. Feeding crows also paves way for greater intuitive powers and also for knowing certain things. The language of the crow can be mastered using the Kakkyai Siddhi and the crow can be befriended and certain enquries can be made on spiritual issues and a specific 'force' sits in the body of the crow and answers your divine queries and goes away. These are best kept secretive. Hope this much of Cawing is enough my dear friend!...Will post more later... Caw! Caw! Yours yogically, Shreeram Balijepalli Purity, Powers, Parabrahmam...
