Need to know on oil

for litting up the lamp on the death anniversary day (tithi) the oil used shall

be of black sesame/gingely oil. some people also put few black sesame in the

oil. this is the practice in southern parts. in othern parts, ghee is also

used but in the south ghee is not used in shraddha karmas. hecne you may avoid

ghee.
