During the course of Dhara to MahaDev, along with water are there other things

that one need to add for Dhara Abisekha? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Lord Shiva is "Abhisheka Priya" and Lord Vishnu is "Alankara Priya". While

performing "Rudrabhishek" water and Panchamrit are used. Plain water bath is

given, after perfoming Abhishek with any one item as listed under Panchamrit.

Dhara is considered as "Nitya Abhishek". So plain water with out adding any

other material is used as an accepted practice.

Regards,

Aum Namah Shivaya
