Guest guest
om namo bhagawate rudraya unfortunately, in the new found love for animals, people forget the true reaons behind their usage. in olden days, kings are supposed to protect their people by killing wild animals like tiger who used to stray into their human habitation and kill innocent men and women. so for a king, hunting and killing a tiger to protect his kingdom and people is no sin. this is what even britisher corbett did in Uttar Pradesh killing several tigers to save thousands of human lives. also for developing hunting skills, kings used to sharpen their skills by hunting small animals and birds and this is not considered a sin during those days. Now, there is a government to proctect with dozens of ministries, so now a days it is a sin. also in all ashrams of rishis and munis (sages and saints) groups of deers used to stay just to protect themselves from wild animals in the jungle. when those deers die naturally, those skins were used by the sages and saints for sadhana. hope you would not find fault with Sita for asking to fetch a deer in ramayan. in praise of lord shiva arjunSujata Krishna <sujatakrishna2010 (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: it is very heartening to know that spiritual people wanted to have deer skin for bhakti......bhakti should come out of love....the way valmiki utterd the name OF LORD RAMA in reverse without knowing.....mara mara mara....GOD never ask anything just love...Divakara Tanjore <div_tan > wrote: I dont understand why deer skin is needed for sadhana, you need a clean heart and sincere efort to dosadhana, sadhana should be selfless and giving nottaking the life of a deer and using its skin.how will you feel if deer wants your skin to do itssadhana? it is possible as it also has life.--- LG wrote:> dear arjun ji> > i would like to know if it is possible to get deer> skin for sadhana from which place and how much does> it cost.> > i would like to go to kashi. i have heard that most> of the items required for pooja can be obtained> there. can u tell me the names of shops u are aware> of and generally purchase your requirement from?> > regards> > lalethaa> > arjun pandit wrote:> Dear friend> > for concentration in sadhana, wearing of a three> mukh rudraksh mala is ideal as lord shiva says in> shiva puran that the wearer gets the result of> sadhana and learns all vidyas. i have been> supplying rudraksh for quite some time procured from> the himalayas which i visit every month and my> prices are just to recover my costs and expenses and> are around 50% of what is listed in most rudraksh> selling sites on the net. i have also supplied 14> mukh rudraksh to some fellow astrologers which> develops the third eye and the sixth sense works so> great that the wearer can foresee and foretell> everything. the 14 mukh rudraksh is worshipped in> the pooja place and is worn on the forehead only> while doing meditation.> > for sadhana or meditation, sitting on a darbha mat> is good, a deer skin is better and tiger skin is the> best but is difficult to get. meditation on such> skin would help you develop more concentration and> the entire energy created or developed by you in> meditation stays within you and builds an aura. .> > with best wishes> arjun> > b_jamnadas wrote:> Hello,> > I am a devotee of shiva as well, my problem though> is that whenever > I sit to do my sadhana, I am not able to do 1 very> important and > basic thing...maintain concentration. Guest guest
Dear Arjun Brother, we are talking about compassion here, killing wild animals is a different aspect altogether, Deer is a innocent, beautiful and most harmless animal, and any god loving person will not kill it for any usage, also it is not easy to get deer skin without killing deers, and as you mentioned we dont have ashrams now where we wait for a deer to die and obtain its skin. Om namah shivaya, Divakar. --- arjun pandit <panditarjun2004 wrote: > dear sister sujata > > om namo bhagawate rudraya > > unfortunately, in the new found love for animals, > people forget the true reaons behind their usage. > > in olden days, kings are supposed to protect their > people by killing wild animals like tiger who used > to stray into their human habitation and kill > innocent men and women. so for a king, hunting and > killing a tiger to protect his kingdom and people is > no sin. this is what even britisher corbett did in > Uttar Pradesh killing several tigers to save > thousands of human lives. also for developing > hunting skills, kings used to sharpen their skills > by hunting small animals and birds and this is not > considered a sin during those days. Guest guest
I was many months living in Sai Baba Ashrams in whitefield and puttaparti, is incredible how the sevas hit the animals ( the dogs to scare them). I had many problems with that sevas for this reason. God is in all aspects of the life, God is also in each animal, All belongs to God We need to develp the love for the animals, they feel as us, the cry as us, they love as us.
