Guest guest
thanks for the explanation. but i am a bit confused, if i want to have linga in my house, i have to buy and bring it to the nearby temple and do special rituals before placing in my house ? is it correct. KASTURI SUBBA RAO [kasturisrao ]Sunday, August 21, 2005 2:00 AMTo: Subject: I dont have LINGA at my house....advise.Sh.Panimalar,With all reverence and regards to Sh. Shreeram Balijepalli, the possible answer to the query raised by you is enumerated in the following paragraphs.Lord Shiva is the regulator of all negative forces and always purifies the "Aatman" (The soul). Since he is absorbing all negative powers from his disciples, he is always found in Dhyana (Deep Meditation). It is believed that putting a lighted lamp before him may disturb his meditation thereby some of his disciple may not get the advantage of his deep meditation. So the Vedic scholars recommended placing the JYOYI (Lighted Lamp) behind "LINGA". As per Sh. Shree Ram ji, this feature was experimented and found yielding superior results. It is important to note that Shiva is often worshipped in the form of "LINGA". Some school of thought advocates that it is equivalent to "Nirgun Aaradhan" (An antonym to idol worship). As Sh. Shreeram Balijepalli, explained, the Jyoti shall be placed behind the "LINGA" to dispose of all miseries and troubles. Keeping "Jyoti" behind "LINGA" also relieves one from the effects of "Sade Sathi" (Seven and half years period of SATURN effect). This is becase of the fact, as explained above Lord Shiva has the power of Controlling the effects of "Saturn" too. As regards to your second query, "LINGA" is not purchased from market except for the places of public worship. It shall be given by Guru or an elderly person. "LINGA" may be in the form of metal or earthen/ precious stone or Crystal. Most powerful one is one that is made of Emerald (Green colored precious stone), next comes "SPATIKA" or Crystal, then Gold, Silver, "Pancha Dhatu" (Alloy of five metals), Brass and so on. Some of the Vedic scholars are of the opinion that "Shree Chakra" (Hemi Spherical in shape but not the one in Cone shape) can be worshipped as "LINGA". If you do not have "LINGA" at your house, you may visit a temple for performing the ritual as advised.Lord Shiva group wish you "All the best".Warm Regards,KS Rao
Guest guest
Dear Panimalar please accept my respectful pranams! The most powerful of all lingas is the Athma ShivaLinga that matha Shree Parvathi worships. The ideal one for a human being is the Narmada Shiva Lingam. You can buy this or get it from a person or a yogi. I have bought this linga and had asked my Gurunatha to help me in worshipping Lord Shiva. There is nothing wrong in giving some money to get the shiva linga, but do not bargain on the price, just give what is the price the person is asking for. Get a Narmada Shiva Lingam from Rudra Centre. Ms. Neeta from Rudra Centre is very nice person and is very sincere. Narmada Shiva Lingas are syambhu meaning Lord Shiva is already present in the lingam unlike man-made lingas. Man made lingas need prathista pooja but syambhu lingas like Narmada Shiva Lingas do not need a prathista pooja. Do not worship a Parad Lingam if you are a family person. Guest guest
Dear Sri Venkat Please accept adiyen's respectful pranams! Dasomsi! Dhandavat! I do not know which school of thought says that. There are so many negative people in this world who spread so many bad things about such divine items like a conch, shiva linga, saligrama, or Maha Meru. Jiva's get jealous and scare other jiva's assuming they might get the grace of the Lord or other karmic reasons. My jiva was advised by these people saying do not do it etc, but I went out of the line and started my sadhana. I am not a born brahmin, do not know vedas or mantras or siddhi. My jiva has been personally been worshipping 12 Sri Narmadada Shiva Lingam's and 40 Sri Saligramas for years and have been blessed bountifully by HariHreemHara. Scriptures also say we should not hear or say bad or lie etc. but even then our jivas do these bad acts and hence commits sins knowingly or unknowingly. Lord Rudra has been so kind to give these syambhu lingas to manusha jiva's. The nay sayers are scared to be disciplined and have no faith in the lingas or saligramas. The jiva who does this sadhana will go through a strict phase of life by doing this sadhana and hence the jiva's prana and the jiva's lineage are blessed by the Lord. No pain and hence No gain. There has not been one single Jiva who has not been tested before the reward. Just as Lord Shri Radhe Krishna says in Gita, do your karma and do not expect the results. A drop of water on the Shiva Lingam from a jiva's abishek can happen if and only if the jiva has got Shiva Dhiksha in some janma. Do not believe the books, believe Lord Shiva and Matha Parvathi, they can do wonders if your sadhana is sincere and pure. A proper sadhana to Lord Shiva, will give a strict discipline, then follows faith and the rest will be super natural for that jiva who does these sadhanas. Rudra Centre Address is http://www.rudraksha-ratna.com You can click on the exotic narmada shiva lingas on the home page. The length of the linga that you get should be less than or equal to the lengh of your thumb. You can also do a google search on Narmada Shiva Lingam and read about various real life incidents. I do not work for Rudra Centre but I know Ms. Matha Neetaji from Rudra Centre very helpful and nice person. She is a Shivani herself. SubhamDinamAstu! SarvamSriKrishnaArpanamastu!
