Question on Lord ShIva Temple

Namaskar,

 

I am very happy to recieve the invitaion of this group for Lord Shiva

devotees and recieving such wonderful messages.

 

I have few question and if someone can guide me? Does anyone here know

what are the various procedures for the Sthapana of Shiva Linga in a

temple.All know the reason for Nandi being in front of Shiva Lingam ,

But what is the spiritual reason of a tortoise(Kurmi) also being

there. Is a tortoise to be present in a temple also necessary?

 

Also some Shiva Linga are sculpured while some are got from the bed of

the river Narmada(Oval like stone), ware there dofferent steps for

their sthapana?

 

If anyone knows the answer to thes questions, kindly please post them

in the group.
