Guest guest
Shiva rushed in to the room where Sunder is sitting and reading the news paper. Sunder I am losing faith in people, they are least care to keep their words, said seriously. Sunder puts the paper a side, looked at him and said it reminds me a mail from my friend, I received today, it reads; A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said, "No, Dad. You can hold my hand instead. What difference is it makes?" asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," calmly replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something unforeseen happens, I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that in no matter whatever happens, you will never let my hand go." Sunder continued, in any relationship, the essence of FAITH is in its bondage. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours. Anyway "Guru jee", (The preacher, who imparts knowledge) Sh. Mahadev is expected any time, lets ask his opinion. HI, Shiva and Sundar how long are you waiting for Said Mahadev while entering in to the room. Does not matter much Sir, Shiva is eager to know what is the importance of "Faith" in ones life? Mahadev said with a pleasant smile, Shiva we born in this world with faith. A visitor to a home asks a boy in the house to hand over a thing or covey a message to his parents. The boy does it without any hesitation or doubt whether the message conveyed to the persons (Parents) are his parents in reality. In due course of time he goes to the school and learns mathematical tables from his teacher. He never questions how and why two two are four why not five. He accepts it as it is. When he grows up, he understood the multiplication is nothing but an addition and gets the answer by him. At this instance if a query born in his mind and doubts the answer, he cannot progress further and his learning stops there at table two. This point was narrated in our "Slokas". It teaches us, at the very first instance do not reject any idea, accept it, later analyse it to know whether it is right or wrong. The boy in due course of time grows old and enters the manhood. He tries to understand the abstract terms like God, the heaven, the hell, the "karma", the destiny etc;. He starts bothering to rummage around the thing in detail. Here lies the turning point of faith. As there is no one who had witnessed or having authority to establish, confuses his mind. This is the possible point of drift from faith. On the other hand some one listens to their "gurus"/learned man or "Pundits"/Scholars and gets themselves satisfied. This is because one wants an answer to support his belief and to calm up ones hassle mind. Is this the correct way? We learnt from the life histories of the great saints or scientists that they were not satisfied with the answers they got from people around. They explored the answer from their inner self. This search has given them the way and satisfied them, further it benefited the society. Is this means we don't have to listen to the scholars and experienced? No, it is not always true. For all materialistic things we have the examples set from past experiences but not in case of abstract subjects. Here, you are the master to excavate the reply to questions raised by your mind. How? It is the right search of your inner self. It is already late, lets meet next time said Mahadev in conclusion.
