New Member Would Like to Know Where to Get

Hello,

 

I just joined this group and my interests include nature,

ethnobotany, alternative medicine, growing exotic plants &

medicinals, and organic gardening techniques.

 

I would like to know if there are some good sources for Indian plant

seeds used for growing the plants and herbs used in Ayurveda. All of

my searches for Ayurvedic herbs on the web have turned up prepared

herbs, extracts, and mixtures rather than the actual seeds

themselves. The reason for asking is that rather than buying

prepared herbal extracts, I prefer to grow and make my own. I have

also checked with many of the traditional herb seed suppliers but

they have never heard of, nor have many of native indian herbs and

plants.

 

Does anyone know a good source for obtaining Ayurvedic herb and plant

seeds?

 

Also, does anyone here on this list have any of Ayurvedic plant and

herb seeds that they would be willing to send me? If you would like

to swap/exchange for some other seeds, that would be great. I have

lots of other medicinal and vegetable seeds that I would be happy to

trade with you.
