You said your father also has it, although his may be a slightly milder form.

That means either your diets are similar, or you live in a similar climatic

environment or it may be genetic.

As far as you are concerned, Ayurveda calls your illness based in Vata and

Pitta. Probably more Vata than Pita, but there are both elements. You have

excess of Vata / Pitta and at the same time a lack of Kapha. There are other

things about you that we do not know like your height, weight, gait, mental

attitude, other physical characteristics.

You should visit a good Ayurveda specialist in your area, who will look at your

diet also and see if for some reason your diet is excessive in Vata foods. In

any case the least you should do on a daily basis is oil massage, preferably of

the whole body, but definitely of palms and soles. Make sure the oil has

Aloe--pitta shamanam and cocoanut oil is good both in diet as well as

externallly since it is also a coolant, and there is a ready made prepared oil

in the market called Ashwagandha and Bala, which is also good externally.

I would not like to prescribe any pill s without really knowing you and for that

you must visit your local Ayurveda specialist.

At a time I'm really vexed with what's happening

to my palm and foot I thought I could consult you all

so that somebody could help me .

My palm and my feet are dry to the core . The

skin always remains rough and the more severe problem

is the skin is continuously peeling away giving way to

new layers beneath . By the time the new skin entirely

overlaps (it takes about 2-3 weeks) at some other end

the new skin again peels .

Since the palm and the foot are the most exposed

portions I feel very embarrased . Even for my own sake

it looks disgusting .

I repeatedly consulted doctors(Unani) and they

asked me to apply Olive oil or Liquid paraffin . But

it was a futile effort .

As for my observation I think the situation

worsens if I take even a moderate amount of Vitamin C

(I used to have fruit juices regularly ) or if my body

tempreature shoots up(I've an inherently high body

tempreature already ). I don't know whether these are

a reason or not . Besides my father has the same

problem but his skin doesn't peel.

Also infos that could be of relevance are ,I've

already been diagnoised of being highly deficient in

B-vit and am a girl 22 yrs of age . My skin by nature

doesn't have a healthy look and If I stop applying oil

even for just 1 or 2 days wrinkles form in the skin

beneath the nails .

Kindly do help me with ur suggestions .

Thanks !
