Ellen,

I'll take your word for it that you are kapha. Sometimes other doshas can get

out of balance and cause what appears to be a kapha dosha. these other people

can help you with that. I teach Kundalini Yoga so I am much more versed in

Yoga. Assuming you are kapha, you should do more aerobic things. Join a soccer

league or play other sports. You said you walk. Do you brisk walk? by that I

mean walk with a long fast gait, move you hips with each step and move your arms

parallel with the ground going bothforward and backwards with each step. It is

like amovement a cross country skier would make with their arms without the

poles.Push off with the toes. Walk very fast.

Also have your yoga instructor to show you how to do "breath of fire" or

"bellows breath". Do this after doing the neti pot as Dr. Bhate indicated.

This clears out the channels.

Okay- my symptoms would be that I just don't feel good. I am not in

a lot of pain- the usual aches and pains after waking the morning- but

they leave in about 5 minutes or so, I feel I have no energy, but

enough to get me thru the day

I did not address the aches yet. Do neck rolls, cat and cow for the neck pain.

Do leg raises or situps for energy. Raise legs to 90 degrees and lower legs to

floor and keep repeating for no more than 3 min.

Before you get up in the morning and at various times throughout the day, take

you thumbs with nail side to the skin, take thumb and insert it (eyes closed of

course) in upper part of eyesocket between skull and eyelid. It is towards the

inside of the ey and there is a little notch there. It will feel weird. That

point helps prevent headaches.
