Also I like to sprinkle rose water all over when it is hot and eat a tsp. of rose petal jam every day in the summer. I use some of the oils for Vata since they soothe my joints. Now if I can only cut my consumption of hot chiles...We are in a hot culture here in South Louisiana and mostly I have lived in desert or subtropical climates. I have found that I like lots of the foods and spices that come from these climates very well. I had some cucumber water one summer that I liked and found very refreshing too. Being a southerner, I am really crazy about iced tea and lemon. Where I was raised, they drink it mostly without sugar or lightly sweet, but here it is more like a syrup, so I make it at home and don't order it in the restaurants. Hard to beat a nice glass of cold tea. I can try some of the Pitta oils. Darla > Cilantro will cool your body. ......what about the Ayurvedic > massage oils for Pitta--they will cool you.
