Guest guest
Namaste' Jacob... Here is a downloadable Monier-Williams Sanskrit dictionary that is searchable too. (and has an entry of 160,000 words) I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but I hope you find it helpful. If you are interested, please go to http://members.chello.nl/l.bontes/sans_n.htm Download these three files mwsdd_v15beta.zip dict.zip fonts.zip The dict.zip is very large and so may pose a challenge to some folks in downloading. Create a folder called "Sanskrit Dictionary" (or any other name you prefer) and unzip the contents of all the three files to this location. Then in Windows (sorry dont know the equivalent in Mac), click on "Start", "Settings" ,"Control Panel" and Fonts. Click on "File" , "Install New Font" , go to the folder where you have unzipped all three files "Sanskrit Dictionary" and select the fonts that you have downloaded and install them. Once done , create a shortcut on the desktop to the mwsdde.exe directory. All you have to do now is to click on the short cut and start using the program. Type in the Itrans equivalent of the sanskrit word to get the meanings. Here is the ITrans decoder http://www.srivaishnava.20m.com/gita/itrans.htm OM Shanti Morningsong > I'm wondering if anyone knows a resource for downloading Sanskrit > transliteration text/font for a word processor, like Microsoft Word?
