March 2006 Monthly Vedic Horoscope

 

General

 

There are a couple of eclipses this month that may spice things up considerably.

A lunar eclipse occurs in the first degree of Virgo on the 14th and on the 29th,

we get a solar eclipse at 14 degrees of Pisces. Young maidens and fish take

note. The solar eclipse looks quite powerful given the simultaneous station of

Pluto that day. I would not recommend starting anything new that day unless you

are in the building demolition or surveillance business.

 

Saturn continues to be dogged by Rahu's aspect throughout the month. People who

are strongly Saturnine may be feeling the pressure by now, so it may be best not

to try their patience. Their sense of foundation and authority in all its

forms is being disrupted at a sub-atomic level, so they are more likely to rise

up in defense of their sacred structures. Get them a wide berth unless you're

up for a fight.

 

ARIES (Apr 13 - May 13) With Mars in Rohini until the 21st, expect to come

in contact with matters of style, beauty, and comfort especially when it comes

to the pocketbook. You may be compelled to speak (or even sing) at times this

month, especially where it involves the truth or some higher moral issue. There

may be occasions of inspiration in the workplace as well, although try not to

get thrown for a loop around the 11th. After the 21st, Mars enters

Mrigashirsha, however, your attention may be focused towards searching in

various ways. Try not to get caught up in an endless search if the answer is

right in front of you.

 

TAURUS (May 14 - Jun 14) This is a good time for listening to ideas as

Venus transits Shravana.. You may find yourself drawn to ancient knowledge now

as never before perhaps in the form of watching a documentary on television,

attending a lecture, or if you're fortunate enough, to travel to a far away

place. Around March 10th, you may be meet up with a manifestation of history

that may give you pause. Look for the tone of life to shift more towards the

material and sensual around the 24th when Dhanista's energy enters the equation.

You may be in the presence of a beautiful dream.

 

GEMINI (Jun 15 - Jul 15) Your ruling planet Mercury is retrograde for most

of the month in Purvabhadra. Your concerns may focus on religious and

philosophical ideas and gurus, perhaps with a mind to understand them from

different perspectives. Getting outside of yourside for a moment may allow you

to see things in a new way, as if you were another person. This may be a good

time to question your perceptions in order to get a better handle on things.

The time around the 15th looks best for significant breakthroughs and

achievements of all kinds. Expect the pace of life to increase substantially

around the 25th. Be open to everything and you will gain valuable new

experience.

 

CANCER (Jul 16 - Aug 15) Love and relationships will probably be

important to you at this time as both Venus and Mars pass through nakshatras

ruled by the Moon. There could be some tough questions to confront here,

especially in the middle of the month. If you can develop a greater

understanding of nature and purpose of love, all the uncertainty and

disappointments will not have been in vain. An ease and contentment that comes

from knowing should begin to bear fruit towards the end of the month.

 

LEO (Aug 16 - Sep 15) The Sun transits Purvabhadra in your 7th house for the

first part of March, so you may encounter some hidden truths that prove to be

very useful, especially as it pertains to understanding what makes other people

tick. Once the Sun enters Uttarabhadra after the 18th, you may be able to make

great strides while operating in relative seclusion, perhaps in some research

capacity. The workplace is generally a source of companionship and pleasure

now, and you may find yourself on the right side of the boss around the 25th.

VIRGO (Sep 16 - Oct 16) With Mercury retrograde this month in Purvabhadra,

there may be fewer moments of enlightenment and happiness than one would like.

But this is still a valuable time for learning about the unknown or perhaps

darker side of life. Around the 11th, your path within may be illuminated by a

shining light from afar. The lunar eclipse on the 14th occurs in Virgo so watch

for reversals and interruptions. Try to resist the temptation to speak your

mind at inappropriate moments, since transits through this nakshatra are

associated with harsh or unpleasant speech. The last week of March looks

generally more up front and out in the open, especially around the 25th when

Mercury stations and returns to its direct motion. Excitement and new

experiences will return then.

 

LIBRA (Oct 17 - Nov 15) With Venus transiting Shravana for a good part of

this month, you may be drawn more than usual to lectures and educational

opportunities of different kinds. The period around the 11th may bring you in

contact with ideas that make you uncomfortable or make you momentarily question

yourself. Look for idealization and romantic activity to increase come the

conjunction with Neptune on the 25th. Overall, though this month is a good time

for spending time with family and friends and nurturing the people you care

about.

 

SCORPIO (Nov 16 - Dec 14) With Mars in Rohini for much of March, you may

spend more time and energy dealing with relationship matters. Thankfully, these

may be less of the Dr Phil sort, and more on the conjugality side of things,

with an emphasis on the quintessentially feminine side of love. Some disputes

are possible however near the 19th. Resist the urge to act before thinking and

try to find an easier avenue for Mars to express its urge to dominate. A

red-coloured feather can have many uses. This is also a good time for creative

projects that have an aesthetic dimension, especially around the 25th, as Venus

transits your third house.

 

SAGITTARIUS (Dec 15 - Jan 13) Jupiter starts on its lengthy retrograde

journey through Vishaka now so you must take care not to be too instrumental in

your dealings with others. Curb ambitions by actively seeking the their

opinions and you will fare better. The presence of Mercury in your 3rd house

will encourage a free flowing of ideas that will yield visible benefits quickly.

Career matters do well also as your pleasing form of communication wins many

fans. The time around the 15th looks especially fruitful for all kinds of

activities. Be careful of over-optimism around the 25th that may lead to

overspending. Neptune's continued influence on you can muddy thought processes

and distort perceptions. Better double check all your facts.

 

CAPRICORN (Jan 14 - Feb 12) With Venus in Capricorn this month, life will

seem smoother and easier than normal as more social and business opportunities

abound. Don't waste this fortunate time on second thoughts and doubt -- the

time is now. Once the Sun moves into Uttarabhadra after the 18th, you may begin

to shy away from the limelight and prefer to focus on hidden mysteries. Some

significant development near the 25th increases your profile and results in more

attention and love coming your way, proving that this old cranky goat may

actually be able to crack a smile now and then.

 

AQUARIUS (Feb 13 - March 13) Venus aspects Saturn for most of this month, so

expect more of life's little pleasures now. It's important to note that they

may not include wild evenings on the town and box seats at the opera, however.

With Venus in the 12th house, some of these joys may be confine themselves to

the bedroom, the meditation room, or even within the imagination. Who says the

pleasure derived from a nice dream isn't real? The time around the 11th may be

best for courting happiness. With the transit of Sun into Uttarabhadra after

the 18th, expect some issues concerning money and your spouse to arise suddenly.

But it's nothing a little detached and innovation thinking can't solve.

 

PISCES (March 14 - Apr 12) With Jupiter moving backwards through Vishaka

now, this is an excellent time for communicating and researching all kinds of

subjects that have a direct application to the work world. Much of this

knowledge may come from unusual sources or may fall outside of the mainstream.

Real insights and advancements are most likely around the 15th. Look for gains

and favours to accrue from friends you forgot you even had. Meanwhile, the

watery Neptune influence on Jupiter continues to cloud perceptions somewhat

where linear thinking is required. Better to go with the flow (literally!) and

open yourself to fuzzy logic, ink blots, and free association.
