“Man suffers through lack of faith in God”

“Knowledge leads to unity; ignorance to diversity”

- Sri Ramakrishna

If I were you I would direct my time & energy to worship Lord

Siva, serve His devotees and sing His Glory rather than invest it in

worrying about what Sani & Rahu are going to do to my family. I have

noticed that people who have more faith in Astrology often tend to

have less faith in God, these people when fortunate things happen to

them they think because of their own effort and point their fingers

at these poor gods (Sani/Rahu) when unfavourable things are

happening (they refuse to accept because of their own bad karmas ).

Just as there are fake gurus (at least 90% I would say) there is

no shortage of fake Astrologers. I tell you an example of a fake

Astrologer, a few years ago here in Britain an Astrologer suggested

that my eldest brother should perform certain ritual and also told

him that he should put costly cloths, gold and one thousand British

pounds in cash (he emphasized many times not one thousand Indian

rupee!!!) on a tray and my brother must give it to the Astrologer

and prostrate down and worship his feet so that my brother will

become free from a Bad karma. My brother wasn’t stupid to believe in

the Astrologer’s suggestion. I heard that this Astrologer suggested

the same thing to many others and even heard a foolish man actually

obeyed.

A genuine Astrologer would not recommend you to invest heavily in

performing rituals to shape future because by performing rituals

you may be able to postpone bad karmas but you cannot get rid of

them but when Grace of Lord Siva descends they will be written off.

It is not wise to worship or performing rituals because God may

punish otherwise, this is definitely not the way to worship Lord

Siva because His nature is PURE LOVE, all He expects is

unconditional love from His immortal children and He is the inner

controller who can fulfil your needs without even you asking for

them.

Is Lord Siva, the Supreme Lord of innumerable crores of Brahmandas

(worlds) powerless to save His ture devotees? Is He relying on a

third person to chant mantras to please Him? Please don’t switch

between mantras because they may yield results on you favour. Please

surrender all your worries at the feet of Lord Siva and be happy

with your family.

There is a beautiful devotional poem written by a great Saivite

saint which says that the Lord Siva who consumed poison for the sake

of His devotees will always protect His true devotees and Planet

gods have no power to harm.

Even if you totally believe that you son has the bad Prarabdha

Karma, it can be overcome by the grace of the Lord Siva. The Lord’s

grace descends when there is sincere devotion and self-surrender.

The Lord’s grace will descend in proportion to the degree of

surrender.

The laws of nature do not operate when there is the grace of the

Lord. His grace is all-powerful. We have the instance of Markandeya

who conquered death (attained immortality) by his sincere devotion

the Lord. He was destined to die young, but when the Lord’s grace

descended, Lord Yama had no power to carry out his wish. So it is

possible to overcome Prarabdha by devotion.

Story Of Markandeya Markandeya was a great devotee of Lord Siva.

His father Mrikandu performed rigorous austerities to get a son.

Lord Siva appeared before him and said: “O Rishi! Do you want a good

son who will die in his sixteenth year or a bad and foolish son who

will live for a long time?” Mrikandu replied, “O my venerable Lord!

Let me have a good son.”

The boy began to know about his fate and began to worship Lord Siva

whole-heartedly with intense faith and devotion. The boy entered

into deep meditation and Samadhi on the day decreed as the day of

his death. Hence Yama himself went to take his life. The boy prayed

to Lord Siva for protection and embraced the Linga. Then Yama threw

his noose round the Linga and the boy. Lord Siva came out of the

Linga immediately and killed Yama to protect the boy. Lord Siva was

called Mrityunjaya and Kalakala from that day.

Then the Devas approached Lord Siva and said: “O Adorable Lord!

Salutations unto Thee. Pardon Yama for his mistake, O Ocean of

Mercy, bring him back to life.” Then Lord Siva brought Yama back to

life at the request of the gods. He also conferred a boon on the boy

Markandeya, that he should live for ever as a boy of sixteen years

of age. He is a Chiranjivi. In South India, even now men and woman

bless a boy when he does prostration to them: “Live as Chiranjivi

Markandeya.”

Through Tapas and meditation you can conquer death, you can achieve

anything in the three worlds. A sincere devotee will suffer a lot,

because he is hurrying up in the spiritual march. Many of his evil

Karmas have to be worked out and purged out quickly to hasten his

salvation in this very birth. But, God gives him extraordinary power

of endurance through His grace. But he rejoices even in sufferings

and destitution on account of the descent of the Lord’s grace. He

voluntarily welcomes these sufferings.

May Lord Siva shower His Grace upon you and you family.
