Guest guest
It appears that at a certain period of Indian history, the 40 days therapy had become a standard for all kinds of intense study or therapy, or concentration. It was prescribed for as varied a subject like meditation itself, ( as in Vipashchana) or as Todd has explained for Panchakarmas, or as musicians, to study one raaga in all its aspects. The last one was called as "chilla" by Muslim musicians, whereby, just as in Vipashchana meditation, they isolated themselves in a room or a hut, and even the food was left outside the room, and he/she ate it whenever they wanted to, without spending / wasting time on others, but concentrating on their own selected raaga, in all its aspects, for 40 days. Guest guest
Thank you Durgeshji. In a website based discussion forum members wanted to know what the ayurveds had in their weaponry to tackle the disease states resulting from suppressed veneral diseases. The ayurveds said they had "Kuti Pravesh". This was long back and I was since then trying to find out what it was. Guest guest
dear friends Lot of discussed on Kutir Pravesh in this our group. but one thing is very important that it must be under observation & under expert doctor/vaidya that he will decide that what type of patient need such type of treatment. it is a complete rejunivation process, can be taken up to 6 months, In such type of treatment Amalaki rasayan (with pathyas) are prefferd becoz it helps to rejunivate our body, so it is possible to regenration of teeth as well as hair, & nail. It purifies body internally. But I havent heard, doctors doing that or prefers that. may be reasons are like , time consuming process, patient must ready to do it, lack of experience on such type of treatment. Guest guest
Respected Anilji, Namaste. The process is not only very critical but also very expensive. It cost Rs. 6.00 lacs recently as a foreign monk had the exercise performed on him. I think the rigours of the exercise break down the primary defences of the body-mind complex in the energy sphere so that the effects of the medicines and procedures travel deeper.Earlier this was resorted to by kings and emperors to rejuvenate themselves. But nowadays this may be required to get rid of the many deep rooted illnesses we have acquired. I fully agree with you that the utmost caution should be exercised.
