Guest guest
Hi, I am doing a project on the antioxidant properties of herbal, medicinal and fruit teas, I have been searching for months for information on the consumption of these teas, particularly the loose teas; but, I have not found anything! Does any one know of any studies that have info on consumption of any of these types of tea? Thank you, topazblue341
Guest guest
Greetings, There is a wealth of information regarding antioxidant properties of Ayurvedic herbs. Of coarse, not all of them are pleasant tasting to be made into teas. However, there is one called "Arjun Tea" http://www.krishnaherbals.comarjuntea.htm - which may be of interest to you. Aside from that, Amalaki aka Indian Gooseberry is probably one of the most potent antioxidants available. It is in some teas. I really like a tea made/blended by the folks at ayurveda-herbs.com. I suggest that you contact them and ask any questions regarding their Ayurvedic-based teas. I believe they will be more than happy to answer your queries. You can also use www.pubmed.com to look up various herbs. Try typing in Amalaki, Arjuna, Triphala, or just "antioxidant" in the search engine and you will get so much research. And best of all, its free! Best of luck in your studies. Kind Regards, ayurveda, "topazblue341" <topazblue341 wrote: > > Hi, > > I am doing a project on the antioxidant properties of herbal, medicinal > and fruit teas, I have been searching for months for information on the > consumption of these teas, particularly the loose teas; but, I have not > found anything! Guest guest
Hi Tony, Thanks for the information. One of the teas I used was cinnamon spice by Yoggi teas. Apparently Indian people have been drinking this type of tea for hundreds of years. I have tried pubmed, and even emailed yoggi teas but no luck! I think I will phone them. The herbs you mentioned sound interesting, I will check them out! topazblue341 > There is a wealth of information regarding antioxidant properties of Ayurvedic herbs. > Of coarse, not all of them are pleasant tasting to be made into teas.
